Renewable Carbon Initiative’s Post

Yesterday marked a significant step forward for European industry as a coalition of 73 industry leaders from 20 industrial sectors presented the '𝗔𝗻𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗽 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗹' to the Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen. Dr. Martin Brudermüller, Cefic President said: ‚…By placing the European Industrial Deal at the forefront of Europe’s strategic agenda, the EU would pave the way for a resilient, competitive, and sustainable Europe. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹." The declaration outlines a comprehensive strategy of 10 concrete actions to shape the future landscape of European industry, to restore competitiveness and keep good jobs in Europe. Of particular interest to us are points 5 and 6, which advocate for the 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗨'𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝟱), 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗶𝗼-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗖𝗨, 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗼, 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 (𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝟲). Additionally, point 3 focusing on 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 aligns with RCI’s goal.
