📢 In the last couple of years, we have grown significantly and become much more international. To better reflect these developments, our Group Executive Board has decided to reorganise the company at Group level. The new configuration will strengthen our international orientation, streamline our management and ensure customer proximity.
Here's what's about to change as of 1 July 2024:
➡️ Spain, the second most important market, will become a separate segment. Juan Miguel Estallo Lasheras, previously CEO of Liberty Seguros Europe, will join us as of 1 September 2024 and assume the role of CEO of Spain. From this date, the CEO of Helvetia Seguros and the CEO of Caser will report directly to him.
➡️ The previous Europe segment, excluding Spain, will continue to exist on the Group Executive Board under the name GIAM (German, Italian and Austrian Markets). Thomas Neusiedler will assume the role of CEO of GIAM and join the Group Executive Board, in addition to his current role as CEO of Helvetia Austria.
➡️ A new Group Risk Management unit will be established in the Group Executive Board.
➡️ Group Technology focuses on developing forward-looking technology solutions, driving innovation and realising economies of scale across the Group. Sandra Hürlimann, previously Head of Analytics & Group Solutions at Helvetia Group, will assume the role of Group CTO as of 1 July 2024 and join the Group Executive Board. Achim Baumstark, the current Group CTO, has expressed the desire to concentrate on the role of CTO Switzerland in the coming years.
➡️ Group Human Resources will become a separate function in the Group Executive Board to reflect the strategic importance of employee topics. Esther Roman, most recently Group Head of Human Resources and Communications and member of the Executive Board at Mibelle Group, will join us as of 16 September 2024 as the CHRO of Helvetia Group and become a Group Executive Board member.
➡️ The Group Executive Board roles of the Corporate Centre and Group Actuaries will be discontinued. Achim Baumstark, Markus Gemperle, Beat Müller and Roland Bentele will leave the Group Executive Board as of 30 June 2024.
Fabian Rupprecht, Group CEO of Helvetia, comments: «On behalf of everyone, I would like to thank Roland, Markus, Beat and Achim for their valuable service for Helvetia. I also want to congratulate Thomas and Sandra on their new tasks and welcome Juan and Esther to the team. With the newly appointed Group Executive Board members, Helvetia is also taking a further step in terms of diversity in various respects.»
