Why Outsourcing Could Be the Future of Church Video Production… 👇🏼 Let's talk numbers and impact! 📊 Cost Analysis: • In-house video team: $30,000-$40,000+ annually (per team member) • Professional equipment: $10,000-$20,000 initial investment • Ongoing training and software: $2,000+ yearly VS. Outsourcing Benefits: ✅ Pay only for what you need ✅ No equipment maintenance costs ✅ Zero training expenses ✅ No employee overhead Time-Saving Advantages: ⏰ Focus on ministry, not technical details ⏰ More time focused on goals instead of processes ⏰ Professional editing handled externally ⏰ Faster turnaround on projects Quality Elevation: 🎯 Access to professional-grade equipment 🎯 Experienced storytellers behind the lens 🎯 Consistent, high-quality output 🎯 Fresh creative perspectives Your church's story deserves to be told beautifully, but that doesn't mean you need to build an entire video team to make it happen. Here's why: Professional video production companies live and breathe storytelling. They've already invested years in perfecting their craft, building their equipment arsenal, and developing efficient workflows. By partnering with them, you're not just hiring a service – you're tapping into an entire ecosystem of expertise, creativity, and professional-grade resources that would take years and significant investment to build internally. Think of it like this. You wouldn't build a construction team to renovate your sanctuary – you'd hire experts who do it every day. The same principle applies to your video content. Let the experts handle the technical details while you focus on what matters most: ministry impact. #ChurchMedia #VideoProduction #MinistryResources #ChurchGrowth #DigitalMinistry

What is the value of video production?... One of my first experiences working with a well established client gave my team assurance we could be compensated better than our past clients, which at the time, most had been at heavily discounted rates or completely free. If you’re in this field, you will have to give away some of your initial work in order to establish yourself. It’s how it works most of the time. We made some calculations and realized that the price for our time in this project would be $3000. We were a team of three at the time so a thousand dollars each. We did the breakdown and presented it to our client and without bothering to look too much into it they signed the check and we closed the deal. Yay! As happy as we felt we were also conflicted. Could we have valued our knowledge in our craft more? …100% yes! Did our client see our invoice and thought ‘this is a give away for what we’re getting.’ ? Very possible. But the most accurate explanation is that most established companies already have a budget set aside for this type of work. Eventually, understanding the value of our skills and years of experience in the craft allowed us to ask the right questions when meeting with our clients. Return of investment (ROI) and Budget must be topics you will need to be comfortable asking your clients about. You are not cheating anyone, you are using your skills to help your client amplify their reach to show the world what great products or services they have. That is valuable, they will love you for it and gladly compensate for the project’s worth instead of the hours the video took to create. Trust your skill and grant it the value it deserves.

My 3 biggest struggles as a new video production agency owner were: 1. Financial uncertainty: Starting with limited capital made it challenging to invest in equipment and hire skilled staff. 2. Client acquisition: Attracting new clients and establishing trust as a new agency in a competitive market was tough. 3. Time management: Balancing project deadlines, administrative tasks, and creative work was a constant juggling act. To those in a similar position, here's my advice: 1. Financial struggle: Start small, rent equipment when necessary, and reinvest profits into your business gradually. 2. Client acquisition: Build a strong online presence, network, and offer initial projects at competitive rates to build a portfolio and gain referrals. 3. Time management: Prioritize tasks, delegate when possible, and utilize project management tools to streamline workflows. What else do you struggle with? Share your challenges, and I'm here to offer guidance and support on your journey to success. #VideoProduction #FilmmakingLife #CreativeContent #BehindTheScenes #FilmMagic

Imagine what you could accomplish if you had hours back in your week. So many creative teams and businesses find themselves stretched thin, juggling tight deadlines and big visions, with little room left for what really matters. Outsourcing isn’t just about handing off tasks; it’s about freeing you to focus on the bigger picture. With a dedicated team handling post-production, you get back the time to dive into strategy, storytelling, and building relationships. It’s about letting go of the heavy lifting in editing so you can channel your energy where it counts most. In a fast-paced world, your time is invaluable.

Here are 3 things that worked for me to improve the remote content I was capturing on Riverside. Turn off the 3...2…1… Start message: When you press record, a Countdown Timer pops up to indicate the recording is about to start. I find that can be distracting and even anxiety-causing for the person I’m interviewing, so I simply turned it off. You can find it in the Recording section of the settings. Expand the viewing area so you can see everything that is being captured: Riverside defaults to a split screen of yourself and the other people – I find it best to eliminate myself (unless I’m being recorded too) and just focus on what is in the frame for the person I’m recording. Download the raw audio and video: It’s an extra step, and the file size is a little bigger, but these formats give you more to work with in editing, especially the high-quality sound files.

It can be expensive doing high quality in-house video properly! You've got the salary for your filming and editing team, filming equipment, computer equipment, storage systems, software licenses and music licenses. Sounds expensive and time consuming right! Achieving professional quality and consistency requires substantial investment. Not just in equipment, but in finding the right talent for your company. Comparatively, using an external video company can start from around £1-2k per month and we'll take care of everything for you. -Cost-effective solutions -Reliable, high-quality output -Consistency in deliverables -Strategic video planning -Fresh, outside perspectives Video is the most powerful tool for online communication You don’t need a massive investment to get started, but quality is key for success. Partnering with an external team lets you test the waters, discover what works, understand the process, and start seeing results.

𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗦𝗣𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. And it’s not as difficult as you might think. There’s a big misconception that video testimonials require a ton of work – hiring a film crew, sending them to the client’s location, recording, editing, x, y, and z. In 2024, MSPs don’t have to do this. Believe it or not, a super professional video testimonial may actually come off as inauthentic and sales-driven to some prospective clients. It’s completely acceptable these days to use raw video for a testimonial. A raw, natural video creates a sense of realism that the testimonial is coming from an actual person, not a paid actor on a professional set. These days, a good video testimonial can be recorded on a Zoom call where you ask a client some simple questions about working with your MSP and the results they’ve seen. It’s as easy as that.
