Here's what a dedicated LOCAL SEO strategy can do for a #restaurant in just 5 months after tweaking their approach 🍽️ A premium casual dining restaurant in Melbourne CBD took a chance with our local SEO strategy after facing underwhelming results from previous efforts. They wanted to stand out in Melbourne's bustling restaurant scene and attract more diners without relying heavily on ads. Challenge accepted! We’re 5 months in and here's what we've achieved: 📈 31.1% increase in GBP impressions YoY 📈 56.18% increase in organic website clicks YoY 📈 11.5% increase in Business Profile interactions YoY What did we do? ➡ Targeted Local Attractions: Instead of casting a wide net, we focused on drawing in theatre-goers and visitors to nearby attractions. ➡ Optimised Google Business Profile: Ensured all information was accurate and comprehensive, making it easier for locals to find and trust the restaurant. ➡ Visual Storytelling: Added high-quality photos and videos that really captured the vibe of the restaurant, from the delicious dishes to the inviting ambience. ➡ Consistent Updates: Regularly posted about menu changes, special offers, and city events like the F1 and Australian Open, keeping the content fresh and relevant. ➡ Engaged with Customers: Actively encouraged reviews and made sure to respond to customer feedback, building a strong rapport with the community. Key Takeaways Local Focus Works: By honing in on specific local areas and attractions, we made a significant impact. Engagement is Essential: Regular updates and interactions with customers foster trust and keep the audience engaged. Community Connection: Tying promotions to local events helps in drawing more foot traffic and creating a buzz. It wasn’t just us – it was a team effort with the restaurant. The best SEO results come from collaboration, discovering new opportunities, and building a brand together. If you’re looking to boost your restaurant’s online presence and draw in more local customers, focusing on community-driven SEO might be the key. #RestaurantMarketing #LocalSEO #MelbourneFoodie #Melbourne #GoogleBusinessProfile

GDU Ninja Update 27 - Tripadvisor Business Listing We have now updated our Fictional Hotel/Guesthouse Sales and Marketing Plan. We do this on a yearly basis to reflect changes in the marketing world. Take a look and see if there is anything that makes sense to you. https://lnkd.in/edSPk9g5 A plan like this is of course open to debate and a matter of opinion. Already one of our Marketing Partners has given us this feedback; I think it’s a great template, but there is A LOT of money going into remarketing. I’m not sure it would be possible to spend all of that budget with the monthly website views. There should be a budget for email marketing. Helen Leddy Back Office Marketing https://backofficems.ie/ .................................. TripAdvisor Business Listing Now might be a good time to mention one of the elements in the Plan, the TripAdvisor Business Listing. It now seems possible to obtain this at a reasonable price compared with previous years. Whilst it is possibly true that TripAdvisor is being overtaken in importance by Booking.com Reviews it still seems to offer good value because it allows you to add your phone number, website address, e mail address and a Special Offer on your Tripadvisor listing (See below).

One of my favorite SEO moments is when I was helping my friend search for venues for her rehearsal dinner. We were looking in the King of Prussia area and if you are familiar, you know there are a lot of nice restaurants. However, one of the first results was the hot dog cart in front of Home Depot. There were a few moments when we considered a hilariously ironic event there. However, it made me think about keywords and landing pages of Home Depot and the surrounding restaurants. Searches for “rehearsal dinner restaurant” should bring up results for the fine dining locations around them. However, none of these restaurants had landing pages that spoke to this specialization, though I doubt it was uncommon for them to host such events. Home Depot didn’t have keywords that spoke to “rehearsal dinners” but they were heavy on the restaurant keywords despite only being a cart. As SEOs it’s important to think of the multi functional services our brands can provide in order to capture unique, but valuable, search traffic. Terms that are outside of the box are especially key because they allow you to gain rank quickly and build up your domain authority. I always try to think in terms of specifics for my clients and put myself in the shoes of their consumer personas. When a marketer spends a lot of time asking you questions about your business and what makes it unique that’s a HUGE green flag. Strategies should change between clients in order to drive the most effective results. If you were working on the SEO for a restaurant in the King of Prussia at that time, what are some of the strategies you would put in place to mitigate this issue? #digitalmarketing #marketingtips #seo #mediaproper
