Your skin needs to be cared for to maintain its function and condition. Skincare preserves the integrity of the outermost layer of the skin while removing sebum and soiling, and maintaining adequate hydration. Regularly cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturising is necessary to sustain healthy skin. Keeping your skin clean is crucial to maintaining a healthy complexion. After cleansing, your skin should feel clean but not stripped of its natural protective barrier. I recommend avoiding certain ingredients like SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, a detergent-like substance), alcohols, and potent acids as they can harm the skin barrier, affecting its proper function. Cleansers will: * Eliminate makeup, excess sweat, sebum, dirt, and pollutants from the skin's surface, minimising the chance of blemishes and skin irritation. * Delicately exfoliate dormant skin cells, enhancing the skin's overall appearance. * Prime the skin to enhance the absorption of other skincare products effectively. Proper face washing not only thoroughly cleanses the skin but also optimizes the absorption of your skincare products. So, how should you wash your face correctly? Here are a few simple steps to help you achieve radiant, dewy skin: 1. Clean Your Hands: Thoroughly wash your hands before touching your face to avoid transferring bacteria. 2. Wet with Warm Water: Use warm water (not too hot) to wet your face, gently helping to open the pores. 3. Use a Cleanser Suitable for Your Skin Type: Take an appropriate amount of cleanser and lather it up well. 4.
