#AI Algorithms Evolving Like #Human #Brain #Structures: Recent Study Recently Prof. Max Tegmark, Professor of MIT, USA revealed through their #scientific publication that the AI algorithm is #evolving like #human #brain structure, organize, and process #information. The research into large language models (LLMs) has revealed that AI forms conceptual "lobes" similar to how our brain organizes tasks. As we know, in our human brain, the #left hemisphere is often associated with logic, analytical thinking, and mathematics. On the other hand, the right hemisphere is linked to #creativity, #intuition, and #language. Similarly, the recent study found that AI #models naturally partition their #knowledge into distinct clusters, or "lobes," for tasks like: #Mathematical Reasoning and #Code, #Language and Text Understanding, #Facts and Findings, Interestingly, this division is not programmed—it emerges organically, suggesting that both AI and the human brain might operate on universal principles of intelligence. As AI evolves, it increasingly resembles not just how we think but how we #structure thought. This convergence brings us closer to the concept of #singularity—the point where artificial intelligence surpasses human intelligence. The human brain is an incredible amalgamation of creativity and logic, seamlessly switching between modes of operation. Now, AI is beginning to replicate this balance. With its “semantic crystals” for precise reasoning and #fractal concept #clouds for adaptability, AI is not only just #mimicking us—it might be laying the groundwork for something #potentially #BIG… A #philosophical question: if we create something that mirrors and surpasses us, what does it mean for humanity? Your thoughts are welcome..

One of the most complex and challenging topics in artificial intelligence today is Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). AGI refers to the development of AI systems that possess the ability to understand, learn, and apply intelligence across a wide range of tasks, similar to a human's cognitive capabilities. Unlike narrow AI, which is designed for specific tasks, AGI aims to create machines that can perform any intellectual task a human can do. This involves solving some of the most difficult problems in AI, such as common sense reasoning, learning from minimal data, and understanding abstract concepts. The pursuit of AGI is pushing the boundaries of machine learning, cognitive science, and computational theory, leading to breakthroughs that could fundamentally change our relationship with technology. However, the path to AGI is fraught with ethical, technical, and philosophical challenges that continue to perplex and inspire AI researchers worldwide. How AI is Learning to Think Like Humans Some of the greatest discoveries—from Einstein’s theory of relativity to Galileo’s insights on gravity—didn’t come from mere observation but from thought experiments. What’s fascinating is that artificial intelligence (AI) is now also capable of learning by thinking, mirroring human cognitive processes. A recent study by Professor Tania Lombrozo at Princeton highlights how AI models can correct themselves, draw analogies, and engage in reasoning without external inputs. This "on-demand learning" helps AI adapt knowledge to new contexts, similar to how we as humans reflect, simulate, and reason. Modes of learning by thinking—such as explanation, simulation, analogy, and reasoning—are helping AI evolve from merely responding to refining its own outputs, posing exciting new questions about the future of AI and cognitive science. As AI continues to grow in sophistication, it presents us with unique opportunities to explore the boundaries between natural and artificial intelligence to understand human cognition better and enhance AI's potential. The line between what we think and how AI thinks is becoming increasingly blurred. Exciting times ahead for both AI and cognitive sciences! #ArtificialIntelligence #CognitiveScience #AIEthics #AIResearch #HumanCognition #LearningByThinking #AIInnovation #FutureOfAI #MachineLearning

Can #genAI truly predict human behavior? It's a question at the forefront of #AI #research. According to recent studies, including a comprehensive paper from #Stanford and #NYU, large language models (#LLMs) like #GPT-4 have demonstrated remarkable accuracy in predicting the results of social science experiments. In a study involving 70 pre-registered, nationally representative experiments, AI-predicted outcomes correlated with actual experimental results at a striking level (r = 0.85). This accuracy even held up for unpublished studies that could not have been in the model's training data, raising important possibilities for using AI in behavioral research and public policy. While AI's ability to predict human responses is promising, it comes with limitations. There are risks, especially concerning biases in underrepresented groups and potential misuse in creating harmful interventions. Yet, the potential for AI to augment human decision-making—whether in scientific research, public health messaging, or policymaking—is undeniable. Generative AI won't replace human intuition but can serve as a powerful tool in enhancing our understanding of human behavior. We’re witnessing the dawn of human-AI collaboration that could reshape social science and beyond. #AI #BehavioralScience #GenerativeAI #Innovation #LLM #AIforGood #SocialScience Link to the research paper: https://lnkd.in/dZwBKRin

😐 It's disheartening to witness the oversimplification of the relationship between human intelligence and artificial intelligence (AI). Comparing the human brain to neural networks and assuming that AI can replicate the complexity of human cognition overlooks the profound intricacies of human consciousness and creativity. 🧠 The human brain is a marvel of evolution, capable of unparalleled feats of perception, empathy, and innovation. 🤖 AI excels at tasks involving pattern recognition, data analysis, and optimization—areas where it can surpass human capabilities. However, it lacks the depth of human experience, intuition, and moral judgment that define our humanity. Rather than fearing the rise of AI, we should embrace its potential as a tool for augmenting human intelligence and addressing complex societal challenges. 🙌 Let's celebrate the uniqueness of the human intellect and recognize that AI is not a replacement for human beings, but a complement to our collective ingenuity. Together, we can harness the power of technology to create a brighter future for all. #AI #HumanIntelligence #NeuralNetworks #FutureOfWork #Innovation
