In simple terms … When you have experienced trauma, making connections with people can often feel risky. On the flip side positive connections and relationships help you heal. However, one can often end up pushing away the very people that help us heal, not intentionally, but due to the automatic reactions from our body based on our individual experiences that shape us. Over time through experiencing safety in positive, nurturing relationships and with the development of trust, these walls are able to slowly come down and we are able to heal. Even then, the healing process is often rocky. This is where understanding the link between mind, body, spirit and how they integrate towards the human experience is crucial. Healing takes time. It takes work. It takes intention. But it’s so worth it!!!
