Double Your Impact Today for Survivors—Your Gift Can Go Twice as Far! Today is #ColoradoGivesDay — a day when your generosity can create a ripple effect of hope and healing. At the SAVA Center, we empower survivors of sexual violence right here in Northern Colorado, helping them heal, rebuild their lives, and find strength in the face of adversity. Through Colorado Gives Day, every dollar you give benefits our shared community. And here’s the best part: if you choose to make your gift recurring, your donation is matched, doubling your impact for survivors! Your generosity ensures survivors receive: Support during their most vulnerable moments: through crisis advocacy and intervention services. Tools to heal and reclaim their lives with specialized trauma-focused counseling. Empowerment to shape a safer future through youth and adult prevention programs that stop violence before it begins. Your matched gift today means twice as many survivors can access these essential services. It means someone feels heard, supported, and valued. It means a step closer to a future free from violence. Together, we can ensure that every survivor knows they are not alone. Will you join us? Don't wait, visit https://lnkd.in/giX4pZte before it's too late!

📊 Understanding the Impact 📊 This #CAPMonth, let's look at the numbers: Over 650,000 children were found to be victims of maltreatment in the US last year, and this is likely an underestimate. Behind these numbers are real children facing real challenges. But there's hope – through our collective efforts, we can make a difference. Initiatives like Digital Advocacy Day, Wearing Blue Day, and donations to PCAA play a crucial role. These actions strengthen our fight against child abuse and neglect, ensuring every child has the chance to grow up in a safe, loving environment. You can help today: https://lnkd.in/gYFGwsQs #PreventionInPartnership #DonateToPCAA #ChildAbuseStatistics

I wonder what my Dad would say if he knew... a charitable trust had just been registered in his name. Those you who know me well, know that I was 12 years old when my dad, Anthony (Tony) Heard, took his life. A wider number of you will have heard me talk about my vision to establish a charitable trust to support children, teens and adults affected by suicide. Well, it's happened! Thanks to the amazing support of my fellow Trustees (Jenny McIntosh, Dr. Chris Bowden and Paul Matson), Tony's Place is now officially a registered charity. Now it's time for us to make the difference we want to make; to ensure that those affected by suicide - children, teens and adults - have access to a range of age-appropriate support options. First things first. We need to spread the word, so those in need know that we exist, what support we offer and how to contact us. Oh, and of course there's that small matter of securing funding! Please help me get Tony's Place known. Follow Tony's Place and like or share this post. I need to make some noise around this. Not for my benefit, but for the benefit of those who need our support, or will do, in the future. If we're going to make a difference, we can't be a secret! #supportaftersuicide #thinkingofyoudad For more info., check out the website - www.tonysplace.org.nz

Creating Suicide Safe Communities - for the next 8 days any donation you make will be doubled, until we hit £5k. It really is that simple! 546 people died by suicide last year in the West Midlands. We understand that education, awareness, training, reducing stigma and collaboration with the local community are critical to suicide prevention. This is why we have designed a bespoke, targeted training programme for frontline services in the community to ensure we are reaching the most at-risk groups with effective, proven suicide prevention support and long-term interventions to actively reduce suicides and create educated, empowered, suicide-safe communities. https://lnkd.in/eYqSKiDT Big Give #Kind2Mind

Every child has the right to a safe home, but unfortunately in Australia not every child gets one. With one in seven Australian’s experiencing childhood abuse, exposure to family violence is devastatingly common. The consequences of violence against a child can have a lasting impact on their development and wellbeing. Children exposed to violence are drastically more likely to be at an academic and cognitive disadvantage to their peers, and are two times more likely to experience intimate partner violence as an adult. By giving children access to the tools, resources and support they need to recover from trauma, we can change the statistics and give them the bright future they deserve. WAGEC’s Helping Children Heal program seeks to mitigate the harm caused by family violence. By ensuring the social, educational, developmental and emotional needs of children escaping violence, we can make sure no child gets left behind. Your donation will help children heal from family violence. Donate now via bit.ly/3Rf5dVc

🌟 Giving Tuesday is over, but the spirit of giving should never end. 🌟 Our communities thrive because of organizations that dedicate themselves to supporting those in need—whether it’s helping older adults maintain their independence or guiding children and teens through unimaginable grief. Why continue giving? Organizations like WellWise Services Area Agency on Aging, Tri-County Office on Aging (TCOA), and the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan ensure that older generations can stay in their homes, enhancing mobility and independence. These programs don’t just provide services—they give dignity and peace of mind to aging adults and their caregivers. Similarly, ❤️ Ele's Place West Michigan is a lifeline for children and teens processing grief. Their services, provided entirely free to families, create a safe space for young hearts to heal during incredibly challenging times. These programs depend on the generosity of the community. Every dollar contributed helps someone regain stability, independence, or hope. As we move forward from Giving Tuesday, let’s keep the momentum going. Consider making a donation or spreading the word about these amazing organizations. Together, we can create stronger, more compassionate communities. #GivingBack #CommunityImpact #SupportLocal #AgingAdults #YouthSupport #NonprofitsMatter
