🏗️ Enhancing the Role of Localities in Supporting Industry Development 🌟 Localities with significant potential for supporting industry development are taking proactive steps to support businesses and integrate them into global production chains. 🔍 Key Insights: - Government Support: Recent policies such as Decree No. 111/2015/ND-CP and Decision No. 68/QD-TTg have positively impacted the supporting industry, increasing the autonomy of various sectors, including textiles, garments, and automotive. - Local Initiatives: Cities like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, and Hai Phong are issuing their own policies to support local businesses. For example, Ho Chi Minh City has introduced interest rate subsidies for priority investment projects (Decision No. 42/2024/QD-UBND). 📈 Industry Growth: - Quality and Quantity: Vietnamese supporting industry enterprises have improved significantly. From over 300 ISO/TS 16949 certified companies, the number has grown to more than 500. Companies are now producing higher technology components, including stamping and forging. - Export Success: KIMSEN Industrial Joint Stock Company, for instance, supplies products to multinational corporations and FDI companies, with 50% of its output going to direct export activities and domestic FDI enterprises. 🔧 Challenges & Solutions: - Localization: There's a need for higher localization rates and better policy implementation. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is proposing policies to enhance market creation, build industry clusters, and support businesses with credit. - Coordination: Increased coordination between the Ministry, localities, and large enterprises is essential for further developing supporting industries. The proactive measures taken by localities are vital in fostering a robust supporting industry sector and enhancing Vietnam's position in the global market. #SupportingIndustries #LocalDevelopment #VietnamEconomy #IndustryGrowth #FDI #PolicySupport #Manufacturing #TradeInt #BKE #BrianKnowExim

This intention aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s target of achieving an economic enhancement of 8%. “We are ready to accelerate. In line with the President’s directives, specifically for the manufacturing sector, there must be a direct correlation between the growth of each industry and the welfare of the people. This means that investments must be well-directed and benefit society at large. We will work out the formulation,” Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang said.
