I had the privilege of attending the Government and Public Sector Forum on Artificial Intelligence hosted by the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology. It was an educational day with important discussions and lectures on subjects such as: • Prof. Gal Chechik's overview of artificial intelligence and what the near future holds for AI technology. • Ben Haklai’s evaluation of generative AI technologies, along with reviews of AI tools that are already widely used or are expected to become part of our everyday lives. • Dr. Omri Rachum-Twaig’s review of the European AI Act – covering its scope, structure, core principles, and the challenges it presents. After these interesting presentations, as well as several other insightful talks, we transitioned into roundtable discussions with members from the public sector to address the responsible use of AI. It was great to reconnect with colleagues from across the public sector and discuss important issues regarding Israel’s technological and regulatory future. The collaborations sparked by this forum will help ensure that Israel remains at the forefront of technological progress, as it is today. A special thanks to my university friend Josef Gedalyahu for organizing the conference and inviting me to take part. #AI #MachineLearning #GenerativeAI #AIRegulation #Innovation #PublicPolicy #EuropeanAIAct #ArtificialIntelligence #ResponsibleAI #IsraelTech

Heading back from the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, HICSS, where I had the privilege to present one of my studies on generative AI (genAI) practices. 🌏 The buzz around genAI is ever-growing. While its defining facets — autonomy, learning, and inscrutability — are widely recognized, genAI’s ability to produce outputs nearly indistinguishable from human work, combined with its inherent uncertainties, presents unique challenges for organizations. In my presentation, I addressed the human agent acceptance, a critical factor for successfully adopting genAI. Drawing on identified challenges, the study offers a set of practices focused on operational formats and organizational strategies to enhance acceptance. These practical insights aim to help organizations increase the usage and impact intensity potential of genAI use cases. In addition to the various paper presentations, the keynote by Tobias Peyerl, Lead of Strategic Intelligence at OpenAI, on "Approaching the Intelligence Horizon: Navigating the Future Impact of AI and the Journey Toward AGI" once again highlighted the speed of the "AI revolution" and the anticipated changes associated with hyper-personalization. Grateful to have been part of this vibrant exchange of cutting-edge research and future-focused discussions! 🚀 #HICSS #GenerativeAI #AIResearch #Innovation #KnowledgeSharing #AGI
