👀 When your brand needs to be seen, go beyond the logo. 👇 And quick note to the branders in the room even though the message in the video is directed at a client or even a CMO. Most of us branders get caught up in everything branding, like strategy, and creating new distinctive assets. Meaning that we often overlook the need brands have to stay constantly present and be there to help manage that presence. Most of the big brands I've worked with throughout my career aren't the brands I've rebranded. They're the brands that know they need to touchpoints that keep their brand present and top of mind. It's also not just for the marketers in the room to do either. Branders can do this stuff - manage brands. Because we understand how to use brand codes and positioning, especially if we made the guidelines for it to bumper bar off as it bowls down the lane aiming for a strike 🎳 So instead of walking out of the room once the branding bit is done. Too often, I see businesses focusing on quick wins: a flashy logo, a trendy campaign, or a viral moment. While these can create temporary buzz, they rarely lead to the kind of long-term success that builds trust and loyalty. Here’s what I’ve learned about creating brands that stand the test of time: 🔑 Start with clarity. A strong brand begins with a deep understanding of who you are and what you stand for. What is your mission? What values guide your decisions? Who is your audience, and how can you genuinely connect with them? Without this clarity, it’s easy to get pulled in too many directions, diluting your message. Simon Sinek, in his book Start with Why, emphasizes this beautifully: “People don’t buy what you do; they buy why you do it.” 🔑 Be consistent. Every touchpoint matters. From your logo to your website, from the tone of your social media captions to your email signature, every element should tell the same story.
