“We’re at a tipping point in time.. when science and nature are speaking to us, and as a nation of storytellers, we must respond by reshaping the narrative around climate change to one of positivity and economic opportunity. It is the biggest investment opportunity of our lifetime. No one is too young to lead, or too old to learn. We’re in this together and the power of the collective can make a difference […]”. This is my key and powerful takeaway listening to Edward Norton, Mary Robinson and panellists at the #AIBSustainabilityConf24 in the Royal Dublin Society earlier this week. Grateful to Sinead Crowley and Ellen Drumm for the invitation and opportunity to be inspired by the great speakers, provoking agenda, venue and fabulous MC Dearbhail McDonald. Great to see AwakenHub and AwakenAngels members Sophie Nicol, Mary Blake, Sarah Irwin, Danielle McCormick, Alison McMurtrie Rebecca Molloy MBA and my good friend Bridget Dowling #StrongerTogether #MakingADifference #ClimateAction
Wow sounds like an inspiring event!!
Lovely to see you there Louise O'Conor and have a catch up! Super event.
Great summary Louise O'Conor
Sounds like a great event Louise with super speakers. But actions across climate change are required now and unfortunately the barriers that are in place around sustainable accommodation solutions is ridiculous. So much greenwashing too. I would love to see biobased and 3D printed houses using upcycled and recycled materials on every site across Ireland. Imagine telling the future generations that Ireland was one of the first countries to use robots to build houses and that we were also one of the first countries to adopt widespread grown materials like straw, timber, hemp to reduce CO2 emissions in the construction sector. 🙏
Delighted that you enjoyed the conference Louise
Great to see you Louise O'Conor and glad you enjoyed this thought provoking AIB event!
