♀️ We’re still buzzing from last week’s Empower Her Future networking event that we held at our London head office, in partnership with group partners, Butler Rose. The event saw us bring together an inspirational network of female leaders in finance and procurement – sharing their journey, insights and advice to help encourage greater representation and support for women across our industries. We held a roundtable, networking drinks and also filmed some short clips (which we’ll be sharing shortly) to help empower and inspire the next generation of female leaders. Thank you again to everyone attended! Our next event will be early in 2025, watch this space! Great day with the ladies of Plancentric Financial Group virtually attending the Northwestern Mutual WISE Women's Summit! Some of my takeaways: -Reframe your stress stories (is it an ordeal or an adventure - I choose adventure!) -It's your choice to be fearless - what more will you do as you fear less? -You may not always get it right - intention is everything -Be bold, step up and ask for help when you need it -Create an environment where it's safe to fail - let go of the perfect
What an amazing WISE Women’s Summit hosted by Northwestern Mutual yesterday! Our team enjoyed attending virtually and the empowering messages from women leaders within Northwestern Mutual, Disney, Baird, and keynote speakers Rebecca Heiss, PhD (she/her) and Michelle Poler. Each of them delivered inspirational talks on facing fears, recalibrating your stress responses and embracing curiosity to live your best life, personally and professionally. Mary R. What an inspiring journey, Peace! Your dedication and vision are truly remarkable. It’s incredible to see your dreams come to fruition after 8 years of hard work and commitment. The Summit sounds like a fantastic opportunity for women to connect and empower each other! Hosting the inaugural Americas Women Changing the World Awards is a brilliant initiative to recognize and celebrate female leaders. Launching your book, Women Living Fearlessly, will undoubtedly inspire many more women to pursue their dreams. Your story is a reminder that with passion and perseverance, anything is possible. What are some of the biggest challenges you faced while pursuing your dreams, and how did you overcome them? #WomenEmpowerment #FearlessLiving #WomenInBusiness

I just wanted to share an incredible pinch me moment happening right now! 8 years ago almost to the day my sister & I first visited New York with big dreams of one day coming back and speaking on stage, holding an event for women, running a female founder Trade Mission and launching a book. This week we’re here doing just that!! My sister & I are holding a Summit with speakers from all over the world, hosting the inaugural Americas Women Changing the World Awards, launching our new book Women Living Fearlessly, and we’ve just hosted our Trade Mission Welcome Dinner at a gorgeous restaurant right next to Times Square! Don’t be afraid to dream Big! 🗽✨❤️

🎉 We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new Young Women Lead 2024 report: Young Women’s Democratic Wellbeing in Scotland! Coined by Carnegie UK, ‘democratic wellbeing’ encompasses the ‘voice’ we have in public life and decisions that affect us. In this new report, we look at the topic specifically through the lens of young women. This year our 2024 Young Women Leaders from across Scotland have explored various topics around this theme, and in order to address and improve young women's democratic wellbeing they want politicians and decision-makers to: 🗣️ Meaningfully consult with young women about their wants and needs before making decisions for and about them, including providing incentivised participation mechanisms for those who would not ordinarily engage in politics. 💡 Meet young women where they are at in their communities, engaging with them in an accessible way that meets their needs. 📲 Prioritise a culture that centres digital wellbeing, ensuring that young women feel safe online and able to access and benefit from engaging in digital spaces. ➡️ Read the full report and recommendations: https://lnkd.in/eDzeMySq Young Women Lead is a feminist leadership programme delivered by The Young Women’s Movement in collaboration with Scottish Parliament.

Women account for close to two-thirds of the workforce in PR and comms. You wouldn't know it from looking at boards and leadership teams. The Global Women in Public Relations team plans to use the 6th edition of their GWPR Annual Index to establish why this is the case and find more impactful solutions. But they can't do it with your insight - so for any women in my network, please check out the survey below: https://lnkd.in/e6xvwDGF
