🎉 We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new Young Women Lead 2024 report: Young Women’s Democratic Wellbeing in Scotland! Coined by Carnegie UK, ‘democratic wellbeing’ encompasses the ‘voice’ we have in public life and decisions that affect us. In this new report, we look at the topic specifically through the lens of young women. This year our 2024 Young Women Leaders from across Scotland have explored various topics around this theme, and in order to address and improve young women's democratic wellbeing they want politicians and decision-makers to: 🗣️ Meaningfully consult with young women about their wants and needs before making decisions for and about them, including providing incentivised participation mechanisms for those who would not ordinarily engage in politics. 💡 Meet young women where they are at in their communities, engaging with them in an accessible way that meets their needs. 📲 Prioritise a culture that centres digital wellbeing, ensuring that young women feel safe online and able to access and benefit from engaging in digital spaces. ➡️ Read the full report and recommendations: https://lnkd.in/eDzeMySq Young Women Lead is a feminist leadership programme delivered by The Young Women’s Movement in collaboration with Scottish Parliament.

Women account for close to two-thirds of the workforce in PR and comms. You wouldn't know it from looking at boards and leadership teams. The Global Women in Public Relations team plans to use the 6th edition of their GWPR Annual Index to establish why this is the case and find more impactful solutions.
