It’s #WinnerWednesday! 🏆 In celebration of our sixth annual #MetamorphosisAwards, we're spotlighting the first-place winner in the Adaptive Reuse category: Click Rain + Lemonly Headquarters The new headquarters in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is a stunning example of adaptive reuse and architectural innovation. Once the Symms-Brownell Spark Plug Factory, this century-old building had fallen into neglect but was reimagined by CO-OP Architecture Architecture into a modern, creative workspace that honors its industrial past. Originally built in 1919, the building’s iconic sawtooth ceiling and skylights were hidden under layers of neglect, but after thoughtful restoration, they now shine as the focal point of a vibrant, open office layout. The transformation includes new translucent panel skylights, allowing natural light to flood the space while minimizing glare and solar heat gain, ensuring a comfortable and sustainable environment for employees. From the reimagined factory freight elevator turned meeting room to the minimalistic design elements that highlight the building's original industrial beauty, this project brings together the best of the old and new.
