As a marketer, I’ve always felt it’s vital to understand what happens to a lead once it’s passed to the sales team - and how marketing can support the later stages of the funnel. Today, I’m breaking down one of these messages to show you exactly what’s wrong and how to fix it. Plus, I’ll rate it for you. 💬 The Message: "Hi Ronnell, I've been reaching out to some of my newer connections and asking them a simple question. What is the biggest problem you're facing in your business right now? Looking forward to your response." 🤢 Why This Sucks: Fake Relationship: Don’t pretend you know me. We have ZERO connection. Superficial Questions: Asking big questions like this without any relationship guarantees a superficial response, if any at all. In sales, you need to understand what truly matters to your customer. Superficial questions get superficial answers. How to Do It Better: Know Your ICP: Head to Sayless Academy and use my FREE ICP tool. Build a model based on your best customer.
