Thank you greatly for the reporting! While the October step-up to positive traffic is very good news, a review of the June-Septembe trends shows that the QSR sector remained in negative traffic territory throughout the June-August period of heavy media driven discounting. This is the most recent confirmation that #restaurant price wars yield little, becuase everyone if doing it. It is hard to stand out. There is no doubt that this is period of extreme consumer price sensitivity (hat tip: R. J. Hottovy, CFA Placer.ai ). To make it all work, the non-price aspects of value need improvement, too.
