In November we'll be walking in the Palm Beach Heart Walk to raise money for the American Heart Association to fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives. If you're in this area and would like to join our team - we'd love the company. If you'd be open to helping us raise some money - we've set a modest goal of $2,500. Why? Here's some data from the CDC: - Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men, women, and people of most racial and ethnic groups. - One person dies every 33 seconds from cardiovascular disease. - In 2022, 702,880 people died from heart disease. That's the equivalent of 1 in every 5 deaths. - Heart disease cost about $252.2 billion from 2019 to 2020.2 This includes the cost of health care services, medicines, and lost productivity due to death. https://lnkd.in/g-7D-9cr #fundraiser #help #motivation

Today, on World Parkinson's Day, MediRecords proudly supports the Shake It Up Australia Foundation, in the fight to #SlowStopCureParkinsons. 🧡 Our Founder and CEO, Matthew Galetto, said, "Our company's decision to support the Shake It Up Foundation is deeply rooted in both personal connections and a shared commitment to making a difference in health. The Foundation, with its focus on finding treatments and cures for Parkinson's disease, aligns with our values. The founders of Shake It Up Australia, Carolyn and Clyde, are long-standing family friends with shared experiences over 25 years, adding a profound personal dimension to our support. What sets the Shake It Up Foundation apart is its operational model—every penny raised is channelled directly into groundbreaking research. This is made possible by Carolyn and Clyde's generous commitment to cover all administrative overheads personally, ensuring that all donations have the maximum impact. Moreover, Clyde's personal journey with Parkinson's disease and his determination to be proactive in the fight against it, rather than being defined by the diagnosis, is nothing short of inspirational. It's this blend of personal connection, fiscal responsibility, and resolve that has guided our decision to support Shake It Up Foundation." Join us in helping Shake It Up Australia Foundation for Parkinson's Research in their vision for a world without Parkinson’s by pledging a donation today. 100% of all donations go directly to ground-breaking Australian research. Together, we can make a world of difference. - https://lnkd.in/gK6BxHHk #WorldParkinsonsDay #ParkinsonsAwarenessMonth #ParkinsonsResearch #ShakeItUpAustralia

The Spinal Injuries Association once said: “A spinal cord injury is something very few people worry about – until it happens to them.” Every 4 hours, someone sustains a spinal cord injury. These are life-changing injuries that require specialist rehabilitation, advice and support to help people and their families adapt and thrive following their injury. Nowadays, with charities like the Spinal Injuries Association and case management support from Corporé, this help is readily available for individuals, helping them to lead fulfilled lives, not held back by their spinal cord injuries. Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day is this week and on the lead up to the day, we’ve taken a look back through history to see how far we’ve come in developing support and treatment techniques to help individuals and their families following these life-changing events. Delve into the history and be more aware of this spinal cord injury awareness day. #SpinalCordInjuryAwareness #SCIAD24 #TogetherWereBetter

Project Scleroderma is the name of the organization I founded 13 years ago in honor of my mom who lost her life to an autoimmune disease called scleroderma. Today is Rare Disease Day. On this day it is important that we shed light on the fact that scleroderma is a rare disease and all those who suffer from this illness deserve our care & support not just today, but every day. It is crucial that we raise awareness and support for the scleroderma community in order to continue to advance treatments and get one step closer to a cure. It is equally as important that we pay attention to and educate ourselves on all the illnesses or conditions that are considered rare. Our attention and support are vital in order to save lives and advance research. Today is a day to focus on these rare causes, educate ourselves and support in any way we can. #scleroderma #sclerodermaawareness #awareness #raredisease #rarediseaseday #support #community #nonprofit #rarediseaseday2024 National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) at NCSU
