𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞-𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 The journey to improvement began with a grain of salt... Literally! At Kneipp, we are constantly striving for improvements and innovative solutions, so the automated seal inspection system by Engilico - Sealing inspection & monitoring technology for the best packaging results for our sachet packaging came just at the right time. Let us share a quick behind-the-scenes: 🛁 The challenge: Even the smallest grain of bath salts can disrupt the usually reliable seal of our sachets, compromising product integrity. “These micro-inclusions in the seal seam pose a persistent threat during packaging, leading to occasional leaks. In our continuous quest for quality, we face challenges like these, recognizing that our products endure a long journey, facing myriad obstacles along the way.” (Gabriele H., Overall Lead of Packaging) Additionally, residues from the sealing process accumulate on the machine's sealing jaws, necessitating cleaning based on historical data, often without the machine signaling the need. 🌐 Let’s have a look at how we collaborated with Engilico, an international expert for in-line sealing inspection: Our first touchpoint with Engilico was at a packaging trade fair. There, we were introduced to SealScope®: an in-line, 100 % seal inspection and process monitoring technology for flexible packages. It sounded like the perfect match for our bathing and peeling sachets. 🔍 SealScope’s® automated processes swiftly identify and eject faulty sachets. Even rejected products undergo reprocessing, aligning with our commitment to sustainability. Finally, no more manual inspections needed! Our breakthrough for more efficiency and waste reduction. 💡 Implementation impact: Reduced micro-inclusions, elevated production quality, and slashed cleaning downtime, thanks to targeted maintenance signals. 🔄 The story evolves: Inspired by success, we extended the solution to address tube leaks during transport. Engilico joined the journey again, exploring hyperspectral imaging to detect hidden issues in opaque closures. 🚀 Future collaborations: As the system originally designed for food packaging proves its versatility, we're venturing into new frontiers, potentially transforming the packaging landscape. Exciting times ahead as we push boundaries and embrace innovative solutions! #KneippInnovation #PackagingRevolution #QualityControl #GameChanger

Why does Masmoi produce its products in an artisan way? Isn't that a waste of time? Why not outsource all this labor? By keeping our production in-house and artisan, we’ve been able to remain flexible and make necessary adjustments quickly. This hands-on approach allows us to perfect our product with every batch. Entering the cosmetic industry usually means diving into mass production, requiring enormous quantities of materials just to break even. To overcome this hurdle, we decided to produce our products ourselves. This not only gave us valuable insights into the efficiency and challenges of production, but it also allowed us to stay true to our values. At Masmoi, we place great importance on the quality, local aspect and sustainability. That’s why our packaging is produced right here in Belgium, using recycled materials. In the end, it’s not just about making a product— it’s about creating value for others and making it the right way.
