🔧 Bringing Perfection to Life: The Importance of Fine Preparation in Boat Building 🔧 In the world of boat building, every detail matters. At Waterstar Group, we know that building exceptional vessels starts long before the final product is unveiled. One of the most critical stages in the process is taking a rough model and perfecting it through meticulous preparation and polishing, ensuring that the mould for GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) production is flawless. Why is this step so crucial? The rough model serves as the foundation for the mould, which will then be used to create the final parts of the boat. A perfectly finished model ensures that every curve, surface, and detail of the hull and deck will be replicated with precision during production. Even the slightest imperfections at this stage can have a ripple effect, impacting the quality of the final parts. The Art of Fine Preparation and Polishing: Achieving Precision: The model is carefully sanded, smoothed, and polished to eliminate any surface irregularities. This process requires a keen eye and expert craftsmanship to ensure that the lines are sharp, and the surfaces are flawless, resulting in a perfect, mirror-like finish. Ensuring Durability and Quality: By bringing the model to perfection, we ensure that the GRP mould produced is robust and durable, able to withstand the rigors of repeated production while maintaining the integrity of each part it creates. Delivering a Perfect Finish: Every detail, from the curve of the hull to the angle of the deck, must be spot-on. When the mould is created from a finely polished model, it guarantees that the finished parts will have that smooth, high-quality finish that is expected of luxury yachts, ensuring that our clients get nothing less than perfection. The Waterstar Standard At Waterstar Group, we take this process seriously. Each model is refined and polished with the utmost care because we know it’s the key to delivering boats that meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and performance. This attention to detail, from the initial model to the final product, is what sets our boats apart in the competitive yachting industry. With each boat we build, we don’t just aim for excellence—we aim for perfection. Thank you for following our journey as we continue to innovate and push the boundaries of what’s possible in modern yacht building. ⚓️ #WaterstarGroup #BoatBuilding #YachtDesign #GRPProduction #Craftsmanship #PrecisionEngineering #MarineIndustry #YachtingExcellence #LuxuryYachts

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey nominated for SAIL Magazine 2025 Top 10 Best Boats. "Designed by Lombard Yacht Design and Piaton Yacht Design, the Sun Odyssey 350 is a successor to 2013’s Sun Odyssey 349 and aims to bring the line’s notable performance elements to a more cruiser-friendly model. The redesigned hull features chines and an inverted bow for sporty sailing, while twin rudders offer stability to balance it out. Walkaround side decks make movement from the companionway to the transom and up to the bow all possible without a step up. The rig has a square-topped main and no backstay, which accommodates new seating options for the helmsperson at either of the twin helms. Depending on the kind of sailing owners are planning, the keel is deep, shoal, or swing-keel. There’s also an option for electric propulsion. Belowdecks, layouts include three cabins, or two cabins and a workshop. Forward of the L-shaped galley is a dining area that takes up the salon, with the option to add a chart table to port or leave the settee full-sized and have the option to use it as a day bed. All told, it looks to be a successful reinvention of a proven popular model." #PerformanceBoatingSales #PBS #sailing #yachts #powerboats #cruising #racing #jeanneau

The 'Decadence' yacht by Andy Waugh Yacht Design features a revolutionary and striking new design. The unique yacht would cost between €250 million and €350 million to build and is currently in the concept stage, awaiting a wealthy owner to commission its creation. The concept captures the essence of the 1920s, drawing inspiration from the incredible automotive and aeronautical advances of the time. The 'small-waterplane-area-twin-hull' (SWATH) hull is of particular interest, as it is rarely used on superyachts. SWATH vessels are catamarans with submerged, cylindrical hulls connected to a central body by "stilts” of minimal cross-section. As a result, 'Decadence' could achieve a 70% reduction in pitch and roll movements compared to a conventional monohull, significantly improving both comfort and safety onboard. What if...? What if the dream of a new yacht and its furnishings does not remain a dream, coming up against technical and time limits on the way to reality? What if there was someone on board every yacht with the expertise to make the impossible possible in outfitting - time and time again? What if a refurbishment or refit was almost as easy as changing from summer to winter tires on a car? And what if the luxury of yachting was not at odds with sustainability? Then we will have led the yachting industry into a new era. As drivers of innovation, we at F/YACHTING are ready to follow this path. Ready for a revolution in the yacht market. I love the aesthetics of this but have some concerns... 1. The bow is a working area with lines and winches which pose a risk to anyone other than the trained seafarer. 2. "Dual use" areas such as beach clubs/tender stores are always a compromise that make good service levels hard to achieve and the switch between the two timely. 3. Underway, the bow tends to be windy and uncomfortable, which is why designs have evolved to provide more comfortable areas aft. 4. At anchor, yachts face into the wind (especially in non-tidal areas) which again do not provide the kind of guest comfort that is typically sought. 5. The bow area is often designated as the crew outside recreational area to comply with the MLC crew welfare requirements, and to remove this would require alternative spaces that do not interfere with guest services to be identified. Outside of the above, for the right owner or guests however, this provides a really nice alternative area onboard! #superyacht #superyachts #yachting #Yacht #Yachts #marineindustry #maritime
