Over the last 20 years, the possibilities of minimally invasive #RoboticSurgery have transformed from ideas to reality, thanks to the dedicated surgeons who have devoted their time to train, learn and enhance their skillset for the benefit of their patient outcomes. To support surgeons to do this, back in 2017, the Surgical and Robotic Training Institute was opened in Sydney - the first and only facility of its kind in the southern hemisphere. In part collaboration with Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, our Device Technologies team and #Intuitive Surgical, this facility brings together clinical care, research and training for surgeons looking to adopt da Vinci robotic surgery technologies in their practice or train for improvement.
