The drive axle is the component that transmits the motion from the shaft through 90° and to the wheels of an axle. In the centre of the drive axle is the differential which allows for different speeds of rotation on the wheels on an axle. The illustration below shows the components of the differantial and the operation of the differential lock.

Tips for High idle on 80s-90s Honda's. They have a mechanism called a Fast Idle Air Control (FIAC) Valve thats located under the throttle body. This valve is responsible for injecting more air into your system during cold starts to allow the increased flow of air untill about 100 F. However the end cap of the plunger is seated by threading it in (like a bolt). Over time the plunger gets loose and starts to unthread, leaving the valve open and causing a vacuum within the system. Just pop the cap off and tighten the plunger with a stubby flathead.(These can be found on B,D,H,and F series throttle bodies.)
