Just over half way! I have spent a few late nights this weekend personally writing to 381 elected members from 37 councils (I still have 31 councils to go) asking them for their support in addressing the critical issue of inequitable funding for many Councils. The cumulative effect of this ongoing underfunding is considerable. In fact, 51 of the 68 South Australian councils were underfunded last year alone. Twenty five years of ongoing underfunding in Mid Murray is just too much (more than $80million). Our communities are resilient, but this ongoing pattern of underfunding must be addressed. I’m not sure I’m going to get time to finish the email list before tomorrow morning so if you’re in Local Government, LGA SA has organised an online Round Table tomorrow to discuss financial sustainability within local government. This free webinar is open to council staff and elected members, and I strongly encourage you to participate. Registrations to this workshop are essential, check your email from this morning for LGA latest news to find the link to register. This is an important opportunity to explore financial sustainability within our sector.

Capital grants are a good fit for projects that update buildings, enhance spaces, and purchase fixed and non-fixed equipment. Select the funding priority that best meets the goal of your project: ⚽ Foster physically active lifestyles 🏡 Help people build stronger connections and a deeper sense of belonging in their community 🎨 Enrich lives through arts, culture and heritage 🚸 Support youth to develop stronger social, emotional and leadership skills 🌳 Support participation in the conservation and restoration of the environment 📈 Enable economically vulnerable people to meet their basic needs and/or strengthen their financial stability Explore these priorities as part of OTF’s Grant Investment Framework: https://lnkd.in/gc4xRshb

Seeking inspiration for writing the impact section of your Horizon Europe project? Check out this factsheet from the European Commission, which provides a range of useful indicators for outputs, results, and impacts. You might notice that outcomes are not included. This is because outcomes represent changes resulting from the use of project results by consortium members or stakeholders. These changes are difficult to measure and are entirely dependent on the nature of the results. For a detailed explanation of the differences between outputs, results, outcomes, and impacts, please read the article I wrote at the start of the programme [https://lnkd.in/dCBetvx6]. #HorizonEurope #ResearchImpact #Funding

GRANTS OPEN: Round 2 of the Community Led Climate Solutions grant program is now open! Supporting not-for-profits across remote, rural and regional Australia, the program drives local climate solutions that reduce emissions through education, engagement and action. There are two streams of funding available: - Engage and Deliver - Grants up to $20,000 for local projects promoting or actioning practices and solutions that can reduce carbon emissions and benefit their community; and - Scaling -– Grants from $20,001 to $75,0000 for projects scaling locally-led initiatives, that alleviate socio-economic challenges and enable communities to thrive.
