Wouldn’t your life be much easier, if you only needed to speak to one company, to replace every single rotary valve you’ve got on site, without making any adjustments to your plant? One phone call, one visitor to deal with, and one quote. MID’s MVX rotary valve can do exactly that. Introduced back in 2015, the valve very quickly became one of our best sellers, mainly due to its ability to fit anywhere, coupled with its durability. Fabricating the valve body gives us the dimensional freedom we need to match your valves ‘footprint’. With a 400-wear plate bore, rotor blades and end covers, the valve lasts up to 4X longer than a cast iron unit, and it’s guaranteed not to leak product from the shaft seal. In its most basic form, it looks similar to the image below, but it now forms the blueprint for so many of our other rotary valve derivatives. Recently, we’ve received orders to replace some alternative fuel valves for a major UK cement manufacturer. With inlet sizes of ‘350 x 500’ and ‘500 x 1000’, they’re clearly not ‘industry standard’ sizes. The existing rotary valve wasn’t really designed for the application, so going back to the original supplier wasn’t really an option. A quick visit to site to take some measurements, and orders were placed shortly afterwards, for an MVF-X rotary valve, which is an MVX but manufactured to their dimensions. We’re currently working with a manufacturer of a range of coal and coke products. They know that they can call MID regarding any rotary valve on site, and within a few days they’ll have a quote for a dimensional replica. There’s no shortening of chutes and welding new flanges to accept the new valve. It slots straight in, as if replacing ‘like for like’, but with the MVX rotary valve features.
