The cancellation of Groovin the Moo highlights the challenges of hosting events in the current Australian market space. Despite being a beloved festival, GTM had to cancel due to insufficient ticket sales, a first in its 19-year history. This loss affects young Australians who lack exposure to big acts outside major cities. The festival's cancellation reflects a broader trend in the industry, with other high-profile events facing challenges and cancellations. Rising operational costs, changing audience behaviors post-COVID, and competition from international acts impact festival viability. In this environment, the support of businesses like Field Mining Services, Darymple Bay Coal Terminal, Mackay Regional Council, GE Maintenance Solutions, The Grazing Goat, Payne Print, and others is crucial for sustaining cultural events like Rhythm and the Reef in North Queensland. The commitment of these companies to the 2024 event demonstrates the importance of financial and in-kind donations in nurturing regional cultural development. Despite the obstacles, Rhythm and the Reef is steadfast in its mission to provide a vibrant and enriching experience for its attendees, showcasing local talent and contributing significantly to the local economy. And yes, we’re 100% returning for 2024

Business Owners, It’s Time to Stop This! With Ganesh Chaturthi around the corner, posting generic “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi” messages is outdated. Audiences are tired of seeing repetitive, uninspired content, especially during festivals. A post without thought or creativity is just noise. Instead of simply acknowledging the festival, focus on creating content that resonates with your audience’s festive spirit. Bring out the essence of the celebration in a meaningful way that engages and connects with them on a deeper level. Next time, don’t post just because it’s expected. Create from the heart. Celebrate the festival in a way that matters—both to you and your audience.

Stanley Cups went viral because it's fun: To be fair, we probably won't go back home just to grab our water bottles if we forgot. BUT if it's a Stanley which perfectly matches the OOTD, this little effort becomes worthy. There are too many options in the market. Literally, TOO MANY. Because we're living in the era after decades of industrial and social developments. Our physiological and safety needs can be easily fulfilled. For example, we can buy a water bottle ANYWHERE. Why Stanley? It can make the day like a flower bouquet. We pay for the vibe that makes us happy. When we're happy, we commit to efforts easily. (Holding that big tumbler is indeed an effort, but who's complaining?) We don't have to live eco-friendly, because it's a choice with normally no instant feedback. But if this choice is FUN enough, here is the instant happiness we can feel, leading to motivation. Welcome to the club where you can live greener in a fun way! As we prepare for Dripping Springs' largest party of the year, Founders Day Festival, April 28-30, 2024, we want to help you be prepared too. If you have a booth or an entry in the parade, you'll definitely want to start today to get ready. In addition to lots and lots of candy, you may want some branded swag to hand out during the parade or as prizes at your vendor booth. We work closely with Angela Fugate, owner of OSO Marketing, LLC. She is a wealth of information for finding the perfect branded swag for your business or organization, no matter what your budget may be. Attending a festival in your hometown can be a fun and exciting experience. Here are some tips to help you enjoy the festival: 1. Plan ahead: Check out the festival website or social media pages to see the schedule of events and plan out which ones you want to attend. This will help you make the most of your time at the festival. 2. Dress appropriately: Check the weather forecast and dress appropriately. Wear comfortable shoes as you may be walking or standing for long periods of time. 3. Bring cash: Most festivals have vendors that only accept cash. Bring some cash with you to avoid any issues. 4. Try new things: Festivals are a great opportunity to try new foods, listen to new music, and meet new people. Be open to new experiences and try something different. 5. Bring your friends: Festivals are more fun when you attend them with friends or family. Plan to meet up with some friends and enjoy the festival together. 6. Be respectful: Remember to be respectful of other festival-goers, vendors, and performers. Follow the festival rules and be mindful of others around you. 7. Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the day. Many festivals have water stations available, so bring a refillable water bottle to save money and reduce waste. 8. Take breaks: Festivals can be overwhelming and exhausting, so take breaks throughout the day to rest, relax, and recharge. By following these tips, you can make the most of your festival experience in your hometown and have a great time, too! 10moCost of living makes it hard to support very thing and with so many people paying to see pink & Taylor, I’m sure they’ve had to opt out of Groove sadly. Can’t do it all.
