With Trump’s return to the White House, anti-Trump graffiti and street art will likely increase in frequency. My study, ‘Anti-Trump Graffiti and Street Art in Washington, DC,’ https://buff.ly/3bwrpVZ analyzed and provided insights into this unique type of urban visual protest during Trump’s first term & may prove useful to people interested in this phenomenon. #graffiti #streetart #Trump #urbanenvironments

A New Era of Justice: Unveiling a Unique Lady Justice Statue !!!! Exciting news in the world of justice! A new statue of Lady Justice has just been unveiled, and it’s like nothing we’ve seen before. Traditionally, Lady Justice is shown with a blindfold, scales, and a sword, symbolizing fairness, balance, and the rule of law. But this new statue brings a fresh perspective like no blindfold and Also the sword is replaced with the constitution . It’s a powerful reminder that justice is constantly evolving with the times. This new design reflects the growing importance of transparency, inclusivity, and adapting to modern challenges.

This eye-of-the-beholder dynamic between vandalism and urban art form has been a reality since the earliest days of urban graffiti. One person’s artistic expression is another person’s problematic eyesore. In the nation's capital, both sides of that perspective are on full display. Is it weird that when there's a quiet moment in our building I often sit and imagine what it would have been like to have been around 150 years ago and been one of the artists that founded the Scottish Arts Club? What did they talk about? What collaborations did they create? ... I've just found this beautiful hard bound suggestions book at the Scottish Arts Club dating from 1895 to the 1960's. Love that soap ("scented and scarifying abominations at present in use"), inkwells, new chess board and journal subscriptions were topics of the early days. Now it's more about bread choices, coffee machines and food choices! Patrick Geddes, widely regarded as the father of modern day town planning was the first to sign our members book. One comment from 1968 seems as pertinent now - where a member noted that with inflation rocketing perhaps a fixe pris menu would be a good idea. We've kept that going and our Saturday 3 course lunch for £20 is a testament to this! There is something still of an 'upstairs / downstairs' vibe about our public spaces and our offices that give a real sense of the Georgian era. I love being involved in a slice of history of this creative organisation and being part of this pivotal point of exciting change towards its future legacy. What will they be saying about us in 150 years time. What connections and collaborations are we creating that will be talked about by future generations.... We're on a mission to make this a great chapter ... anyone want to be part of our story? As of now - I'm looking up Georgian paint colours and decor 😆 #scottisharts #history #businessdevelopment #legacy

I doubt that I will ever see this in real life. What strikes me? It appears to have been designed by using bits of flat images as reference. It is amazing how far "out of whack" things can get if you under estimate one of the three dimensions that our binocular eyesight is used to looking at in real life. Most photos in the QE2 lifetime will have been taken by single lenses. You can't easily make an accurate three dimensional piece from that without lots of physical measurements as well. There is something Picassoesque about it. Which reminds me of HRH photo's that go viral, when people start analysing whose hand is where and so on. Looks like a bronze created by not enough information in the calculations. It looks honest and not without humour to me. I think it will make people smile. I wonder how the actual costs break down in time materials meetings etc. from concept to completion compared to actual money changing hands etc.? Greater or less than £500K We'll never know. Good to debate though. https://lnkd.in/eP6aTWdR
