#ConsultantsCorner is proud to present #DeepDiveDialogues, a brand new conversation series, where we talk to our expert consultants on various topics that are interesting but may be difficult to understand. This new series is based on really just one mantra - 'Keep it simple, silly!' Every conversation will start with a segment called 'Getting Our Basics Right' where the expert breaks down a complex topic down to its essential parts and explains it in a simplified manner which is followed by the 'Let's Deep Dive' segment where we really get into the nitty-gritty and finally ends with a few concluding remarks as well as a sneak peak into what to expect in the next edition of #DeepDiveDialogues. In our first #DDD conversation, we speak to Ashok Rao to understand what is Public Finance Management, how the government deals with public money, what is government accounting, how it is different from corporate accounting, and how #pfm has evolved over the years. Want to know more about topics concerning #pfm #governance #management #business but are overwhelmed by their complexity? Let us know in the comments below which topics you'd like our experts to #demistify! Don't forget to subscribe to our weekly newsletter! https://lnkd.in/gyCqEBJA

#publicfinance was one of the subjects I enjoyed the most during my time as a MA Public Policy student. Since joining Management and Governance Consulting as a consultant, I have had the opportunity to learn more about Public Finance Management from the best in the field. Today, in its pursuit to break down #pfm for those like me who are interested but come from a non-finance background, MaGC has come out with its first edition of a new conversation series called #DeepDiveDialogues where experts like Ashok Rao sir and others will demystify #pfm and more! Do give it a read!

📊 Proud to have recently conducted a seminar on "Financial Accounting for Managers," focusing on the topic of "Errors of Accounting" at Kristu Jayanti School of Management. During the seminar, I delved into various common accounting errors, including: - **Errors of Omission:** When transactions are completely left out of the books. - **Errors of Commission:** When incorrect amounts are recorded in the books. - **Errors of Principle:** When transactions are recorded in the wrong type of account. - **Compensating Errors:** When one error offsets another, making them harder to detect. We explored their implications on financial statements and discussed strategies for their prevention and correction. It was an enriching experience to engage with my peers, discuss real-world scenarios, and enhance our understanding of these critical subjects. Special thanks to Dr. Shobha B G Mam for giving me this opportunity, and thanks to my fellow classmates for your cooperation. #MBA #KristuJayantiCollege #FinancialAccounting #AccountingErrors #Seminar #LearningAndGrowth
