Is your Postage Meter IMI compliant? Let’s get you and your business ready for the new Intelligent Mail Indicia (IMI) requirement. You will need to acquire a postage meter that is able to send and receive data from USPS®. This change will also ensure your company’s mail system will be able to receive automatic updates such as rate changes. Important timeline dates: · June 30, 2024 - The USPS® plans to decertify all postage meters that use IBI (Information-based indicia) technology. · December 31, 2024 - IBI meters will be considered non-compliant by the USPS® and must be withdrawn from service. Don’t delay this necessary transition: The USPS® mandate to switch to IMI-compatible meters is an important step to improving the security and accuracy of the USPS® postage payment system. Our Quadient iX-series mailing systems are fully IMI compliant and USPS® approved. Now is the time to take steps to upgrade your equipment to our Quadient IMI compliant postage meter and avoid mail disruption. We want to help you prepare for the upcoming mandatory USPS® meter migration. As of June 30, 2024 the USPS® will be requiring that all mailing systems meet Intelligent Mail Indicia (IMI) standards. June 2024, which is 2 months away, may sound like you have ample time to complete this transition, but that is not the case. Number Range for Customer equipment 1. Enter Transaction code OIEN will take you to internal number for Equipment screen 2. Click on Change Group button will take you to Maintain Number range group Screen 3. Maintain the Groups by following the Menu path --> Group --> Insert (or press F6) and Maintain the number range based on the requirement 4. The new group created will appear on the Maintain Number range group screen. 5. Then select one equipment categories appearing under the text "Not assigned", then click on select element button (or press F2) 6 Then Select the check box of the group that need to be assigned 7. Then clcik on Element /Group button . After performing this step , the category that was selected should appear under the group the was selected.
