Understanding Boiler Expansion Vessels The Boiler expansion vessel is integral to any modern heating system and is designed to regulate pressure fluctuations. As water heats and expands, the vessel absorbs excess pressure, preventing damage to your Boiler and pipes. A faulty expansion vessel can lead to leaks, inefficient heating, or system failure. Periodic inspections and maintenance are important to ensure optimal performance and safety. Read our full article and learn more about the Boiler Expansion Vessel, how it works, issues that can arise and the solutions here: https://bit.ly/4hYcX9T

DIY Maintenance Tips - FIVE! 🛠️💡 Maintain Your Boiler or Furnace Regular maintenance of your heating system can prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient operation. Here are some tasks you can perform: ⚠️ Check for leaks 🔹Visually inspect pipes and connections for any signs of water or gas leaks 🔹Listen for any unusual hissing sounds that might indicate a gas leak 🔹If you suspect a gas leak, leave the area immediately and call your gas company ⚠️ Inspect the pilot light (for gas systems) 🔹The flame should be steady and blue 🔹If it’s yellow or flickering, it may indicate a problem that requires professional attention ⚠️ Bleed radiators (for hot water systems) 🔹Turn off your heating system and wait for the radiators to cool 🔹Locate the bleed valve at the top corner of the radiator 🔹Place a cloth or container under the valve to catch any water 🔹Use a radiator key to slowly open the valve until you hear a hissing sound 🔹Close the valve once the water starts to come out 🔹Repeat for all radiators, starting with the lowest floor For more tips >> https://loom.ly/pj8TI90

Maintaining the correct pressure in your Boiler is important to ensure your central heating system runs efficiently. A Boiler filling loop allows you to manually top up the water in your system when the pressure drops, preventing issues such as cold radiators or a system shutdown. While using the filling loop is relatively simple, frequent drops in pressure may signal a more significant issue, such as a leak or a faulty pressure relief valve. Regular pressure checks and understanding how the filling loop works can save time and potential repair costs. Heating systems installed in houses now have to be installed to meet the standards required, ensuring greater energy efficiency (being green). 🌳 Any heating work we do whether it being modifications or complete renewal always complies with current standards. We will always advise our customers on ways to get the most from their heating systems. This could be correct temperature settings to boiler replacement. 🌡️ All new boilers are condensing boilers and are all highly efficient. 😃 Any boiler installation we carry out is to both British standards and will always conform to the manufacturer’s requirements. We always flush heating systems and chemically dose as appropriate on any boiler install, this ensures that the boiler warranty offered will always be honoured. ❣️ We will also bring older systems up to date, from thermostatic radiator valves, correct sizing of radiators or a system flush. 😊 Any of these can help to reduce costs; a boiler replacement can actually save up to £120.00 a year alone. 💥

How Does An Oli-Powered Boiler Work? Oil boilers operate in a similar fashion to gas-powered boilers, except they require a separate tank to store the oil used to power the boiler. Keeping the tank full falls on the shoulders of the homeowner and should be carefully monitored to prevent a boiler from being shut down due to a lack of fuel. Oil boilers are designed to monitor the temperature of the water running through the system compared to the desired air temperature. When the system signals hot water is needed, the burners ignite and heat the water, which is then sent to individual radiators to warm living spaces to the temperature set on the thermostat. As the water in the radiators cools, it is once again returned to the boiler to be reheated with the help of the oil stored in the tank. Heating water to support the functioning of the radiators is a never-ending process in the life of your boiler. Looking for boiler installation in Meriden? Give us a call! #BoilerInstallation
