From my perspective, recognising and appreciating staff is essential for keeping talented people. When a company truly values its team, it creates a positive work environment that boosts morale and helps retain employees. I’ve found that showing appreciation not only makes employees happier but also improves their performance and the company’s success. Please do acknowledge the hard work! For me, valuing staff is a crucial part of ensuring long-term success.

Leaving Madfest day 1 feeling inspired to say the least! A brilliant line up of speakers today from across the industry, sharing some clear take outs on how brands can win: 🚀 Stop saying you're being bold and actually be bold - We talk a lot in FMCG about 'taking risks' and 'pushing the boundaries' but the reality is we often remove the risk from those boundary pushing projects out of fear. We should feel fear, that's how we know we're taking a risk 🚀 We can't do everything, but we do have a choice - We don't have infinite budgets and there SO many category problems that need solving, but we must be selective about what we do and what we pursue. We have so many tools to leverage to help guide us, inspire us and facilitate that 'brave' mentality 🚀 Start saying 'why not' - We need to create cultures that foster new and creative ideas. Not everything will work and that's totally fine (just own it!). It will either become a winning innovation, or a lesson. It's a win win! With all that in mind, watch this space....

Do you celebrate your little wins? Now, I know we all have those big goals and targets we want to achieve. We make those goals really SMART and measurable.. but sometimes we are so focused on the end result we forget to appreciate the small steps that lead us there. We may feel discouraged, frustrated, or overwhelmed by the challenges and obstacles that we face along the way. We may even lose sight of why we started in the first place. That's why it's important to celebrate small wins. Small wins are the milestones, achievements, and progress that we make every day, week, or month. They are the signs that we are moving in the right direction, that we are learning and growing, and that we are making a difference. They are the sources of motivation, inspiration, and joy that keep us going when things get tough. We've all the heard the story of starting each day by making our beds. It's an instant success that sets us up for the day..
