I recently signed up for a virtual workshop on AI video editing tools, eager to expand my skillset. However, within the first few minutes, I found myself leaving the session. This was a first for me. I typically see things through, whether it's a movie, play, or any kind of performance. For me, the constant prompts for chat interaction and rapid delivery created a sense of anxiety and fatigue within minutes. I felt the information overload taking away from my ability to absorb and retain the knowledge. After attending several virtual workshops over the past two years, this particular workshop seemed to follow a similar format – high energy but potentially limited takeaways. So, I made a decision... It made me wonder if anyone else struggles with the fast-paced, adrenaline-driven nature of some tech-focused virtual workshops. While the enthusiasm of young presenters is commendable, is it sometimes at the expense of clear and accessible learning? I would rather choose a pace that can help me retain the knowledge. What are your thoughts on the current format of virtual workshops? Do you find a balance exists between presenter energy and clear communication?
