The topic of organisational culture has never been more actual! Many European companies face a cultural inertia, struggling to shift from their historically successful, steady approaches to a more dynamic and risk-taking mindset. Years of stability and incremental growth have bred a preference for safety over bold ambition, making radical change difficult. Leaders often encounter resistance from fixed mindsets, efficient but unneeded processes, hierarchical decision-making, and a "don't fix what isn't broken" attitude. In a modern and rapidly changing world such culture does not promise much of a success. Too slow, too sleepy, too arrogant or too happy with past records we fail to see and act upon threats and opportunities, be it Chinese EV manufacturers or Africa giving lots of opportunities for an international expansion /as an example/. What is needed is a fundamental rethinking of business strategies! But then remember the eternal "Culture eats strategy for breakfast." Renewing strategy and culture must go hand in hand, otherwise the magic doesn't work.
