This Easter, let's take a moment to remember the blessings in our lives and cultivate an attitude of gratitude. On the beginning of this Easter weekend, the NCAA March Madness Sweet Sixteen games started last night. Clemson and Alabama went from "no chance" and punchlines until football season. These games give affirmative that things can change even after years of times that were just ok! Easter is not just about being grateful but also about hope. Hope because of what Easter represents with Jesus Christ. With persistence, consistency, resilience, commitment, and hope things can change overnight to an elite life. Clemson and Bama are now after decades of no success in the Elite 8. Let's take inspiration from their journey and apply it to our own lives. So this Good Friday, let's make Easter about more than just eggs and candy. From me to you and your family.... I wish you a very happy Easter! For a lot of people, Easter represents rebirth / resurrection / new beginnings / hope. For me, it's a time for reflection and the time to ensure that my first quarter aligned with my intentions. I have an honest conversation with myself and ask: > What goals did I set for the year and how am I progressing towards each of those goals? > What actions am I taking to reach my goals and I am I on track? > Do I need to change how I am holding myself accountable? > What do I need to change and what value will that change be for myself, my family and others? > How am I "showing up" as my "best self" and ensuring I am keeping myself nourished through body, spirit and mind? I am excited for "ACTION APRIL" as it allows me to action my reflection points and resurrect areas of myself that I am not happy with. I never seek perfection - simply growth on a continuous level. How do you check-in with yourself to ensure that professionally (and personally) you are on track with being the best version of yourself? This year, 3/31 is both Easter Sunday and the end of Q1 A day in corporate life filled with deadlines and stress and a holiday celebrating sacrifice and love for others For those who celebrate, 3/31 Easter means: - joy & celebration - sacrifice for others & selflessness 3/31 End of Q1 could mean: - the last day to hit quarterly goals - a day of high stress Whether or not you celebrate Easter, I thought this was an interesting concept to reflect on. A positive mindset is everything. As we close out the quarter, I am focused on: 1) working hard to close out with strong results for my customers and colleagues 2) choosing patience over impatience, choosing to help others even if I “don’t have the time”, and choosing kindness 3) celebrating our wins!! Taking the first few weeks of 2025 to do a personal audit and it's been totally worth it. Community became my theme for the year and i'll be building a lot of it, another thing that's paused me in my track is gratitude. And It's not about the trophies, awards, or access to rooms I've only dreamed of, although these were incredible achievements. What I'm truly thankful for are the wilderness seasons: the days of doubt, nights of wrestling, and steps taken in blind faith. Those moments when the next step felt uncertain, with too many questions about making it through, were all pivotal. Yet, in the midst of all the uncertainty, I experienced gentle nudges, warm hugs, and joy that gave me the strength to take the next step. Every silenced fear and open door no amount of effort could attain just highlighted last year for me. And here's the truth: none of it was about my personal effort. Every achievement bears the unmistakable fingerprint of Jesus. So today, I want to acknowledge the invisible force behind my journey last year. He's helped me overcome obstacles, show up with courage, and grow in purpose and clarity. As I look ahead to all 2025 has to offer, I'm choosing to continue taking those blind steps daily, trusting in his guidance and provision, and I hope you can too.

One of the best pieces of people management advice you can get. It's tempting as managers to point out shortcomings as a way to identify areas of improvement, but if shortcomings are the only thing you bring attention to, you will likely see people live up to them. Why? Two reasons: 1. You only find what you are looking for. By focusing your attention on the negative you can risk developing a personal bias and miss out on seeing positives you may have not been anticipating. 2. Even if well intentioned, regular negative feedback with no positive acknowledgement can be demoralising to even the best of us. Constructive feedback is essential, but as leaders it's our role to develop people where they need it and celebrate what they already bring to the table. This creates a healthy environment for employees to feel safe testing new skills and growing.

Great leaders know the importance of hiring and mentoring top performers. Remember, never settle. If a leader fails to recognize your value, it may be time for a career change. Having an appreciation for how amazing the people around you are leads to good places – productive, fulfilling, peaceful places. So be happy for those who are making progress. Cheer for their victories. Be thankful for their blessings, openly. What goes around comes around, and sooner or later the people you’re cheering for will start cheering for you.
