Additive Manufacturing Applications Engineer, EAC Product Development Solutions

Around the EAC Additive office, we are keen to make the distinction between 'Additive Manufacturing' and '3D Printing'. At a high level, Additive Manufacturing is a strategic approach to a company's overall business objectives. 3D printing is a tactical approach for a discrete process (like prototyping). This blog is a good summary of the distinction. And for those who are not familiar with the term 'Additive Manufacturing', one thing it is NOT is the manufacturing of MSG, HFCS, or any other 'additive' :) (thanks for the laugh, John).
