Great post about whether your startup is really “VC- backabale.” Sometimes a business just does not have an aggressive growth arc, or is more of a services business than a software business (read:less cash flow from the same capital). As Halle Tecco, MPH, MBA says, this does not mean your business is a bad idea. It just means it is not likely to generate the type of crazy cash returns a venture investor seeks. The ultimate win is not your venture investing; the ultimate win is a successful business with profitable customers!
Too often, founders assume VC funding is what they need to be successful. But the truth is, most companies are not a good fit for the VC model.
