This is -EXACTLY- why I hate personalization, because if you're 100x better at it, it tips, and makes your email 100x worse. Here's what to do instead... Okay, even if this email is totally faked, you actually COULD scale this... and this email does illustrate a BEAUTIFUL point... This doesn't work for a handful of reasons: 1. No real human does this -- your friends ever text you about something you did in 2018? 2. This is an INCREDIBLE amount of lame work to make a bad analogy. I blame this email on the people that took 🦾Eric Nowoslawski's good analogy idea (just like how your company does x for y, we do a for b) and ruining it. 3. This work doesn't help people disqualify ANYONE, which means that they don't have any useful thing to say. 4. This work didn't help this seller understand the buyer, AT ALL. Some lame agency trying replicate the same playbook for every customer. Instead you should: 1. Know WHICH companies are harmed by a clunky CRM (e.g. if you have 100 AEs it might be a bigger problem). 2. Know WHO would REALLY switch from their current CRM (e.g. if you have 100 AEs, change is likely impossible) 3. When you know WHO at WHICH companies need you, you need to know WHY (e.g. our clunky CRM leads to poor pipeline predictions and has made us miss our number for the last 3 quarters without us even knowing it). If this automation "expert" did 1->3, they would know that their CRM choice is 100% unrelated to large men getting muddy together---which even if Jack Frimston was very into in 2018---it certainly has no bearing on his choice to switch CRMs.

Just a few random questions I had on my ride out east today: Can someone write a guide to wholeness for toxic people? Can the powers that be in Hollywood make a modern Columbo movie with Mark Ruffalo as the title character? Still along the entertainment lines, who do I need to talk to in order to have Gaga play in a biopic honoring Barbra Streisand? Is this already in the works…I see a movie based on the best-selling autobiography (so good). How can I fit in and be my authentic self at the same time when I’ve never actually fit? What if Donald wins? What if Kamala wins? What’s the story with Mayor Adams? And his crew? Is it too late to drop a mixtape? Why haven’t humans evolved to a place where we understand everyone’s life is important — whether we like them or not? Did I read that correctly that 1 BRIC = US$52? Why didn’t get my degrees framed and mounted yet? How much caffeine is too much? What if you got everything you asked for in this year of yes, would you embrace all of it? Where have all the cowboys gone…ahoooo?

Well it’s Sunday so usually no work post just a song. But this song came on and made me think how the manufacturing world needs to change. When ever I talk to other small to medium shop owners in this area. It’s obviously a struggle to find people. I often say that the bigger shops are over paying to get the good guys but stop myself because in my opinion they aren’t over paying they are paying guys finally what we are worth!! Does that suck for us smaller shops. I would think so. Especially with these online platforms now. Out of curiosity why the hell do we need them. Are they not just a middle man taking from our botttom line?? With out them would the work still not have to get done. It’s sucks especially when I read the other day that TK machine is closing their doors. That really sucks in my opinion.
