Drive ties, this is why we don’t use them.
When carrying out a pull test on the newly installed ties, how can you tell if the inner wall has a solid grip and not just the front?
Just an observation and I’m sure any experienced wall tie installer should know when a good fixing can be achieved, when drilling the pilot holes.

SQUAT EFFECT : : Shallow Water Effect : : Marine Safety
The squat effect in ships is a hydrodynamic phenomenon that occurs when a vessel moves through shallow water, causing a decrease in pressure beneath the hull and an increase in draft, which makes the ship sit lower in the water. This can lead to increased drag, reduced maneuverability, and in extreme cases, grounding.
To avoid the squat effect, several strategies are employed:
1. Reduced Speed
2. Route Planning
3. Draft Management
4. Trim Adjustment
5. Use of Tugs
6. Real-Time Monitoring

I keep requesting a reference list and approx cost of installation but no one replies ?
I imagine the installation costs will be very high compared to an annual underwater hull polish - plus imagine the installation cost of running conduits and hotwork penetrations in ballast water tanks - to the hulls wetted surface area ……
It will be interesting to see a installation list and trials which back up what they are claiming …….🤔
If anyone has this installed please comment.
