Attending #DataJam today, I found myself both agreeing with and frustrated by a session on the value of investing in good data management, specifically in the London Market. The points made were spot on—there’s no debating the importance of understanding and improving data quality. My frustration? Data quality challenges don’t start in the middle or end of the process—they start at the top of the funnel. This same conversation needs to happen not just at data-focused events, where you are speaking to the choir, but also at broking and MGA conferences, where the data originates. Good quality data isn’t just a tech or operations responsibility—it’s everyone’s responsibility.
