In the information overload era we live in, it's impossible to have a single, solid opinion. And most often, this is constructive as well. In the absence of fluidity, in your opinions, in your thought-process, your ideologies or your approach; development of personality becomes a bottleneck. Think about it; every-time you open social media, there is some viral trend or moment marketing idea, that everyone (brand and individuals) seems to ride on, for engagement, traction, eye-ball grabbing in the garb of opinion-sharing. Some speak pro Some speak cons Some speak pro towards the pro Some speak cons towards the cons Some speak cons towards the pro Some speak pro towards the cons You get the point, right..... A Topic Based Post A Trend Based Post A Rant Based Post A Solidarity Based Post With the over-flow of information, data and opinions, it's difficult to have a single view/ opinion. What do you do in a situation like that? Well, you play the devil's advocate for both sides. Because that develops a sense of empathy, tolerance and perspective in you, that hundred workshops and trainings won't. One of my most favorite quotes from Kevin Kelly: 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 𝐒𝐞𝐞 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞. In simple words, go by the age old saying; put yourself in the other's shoes. Opinion will get you traction.. Perspective will get you wisdom.. #rimjhimrants #tolerance #perspective #leadership

Thought-provoking! In the absence of fluidity, in your opinions, in your thought-process, your ideologies or your approach; development of personality becomes a bottleneck.
