This was a key topic in our second ReproducibiliTea Journal Club session, where we explored Zafer Kocak's “Publication Ethics in the Era of Artificial Intelligence,” discussing how AI should—and actually does—impact scientific research. Key discussion points included: - What are the risks and benefits of AI in research? - Is accelerating science with AI necessarily a good thing? - What are the unethical uses of AI? - What guidelines are in place to ensure responsible AI use? An interesting takeaway was how our group varied in their views on AI's role in their work—some felt optimistic, while others were more hesitant. How do you feel about the use of AI in research?
