What impressed you most at the recent Elex shows?
My choice was the return of the much more robust and safe dual point connection method, employed on the incoming side of a domestic DB’s main isolator.
Its shown in the bottom left of this manufacturer’s presentation. And its surely a positive move in trying to stop DB fires. Because as we all know, prevention becomes well before containment.
And TBO, I have always considered the single clamp connection method for tails just not really good enough. They are the poorest 100-125 amp connection method I have ever seen.
Also, as we see a huge leap in the level of sustained current that most DB’s have never experienced, thanks to EV charging, should this particular spec of double pole isolators/main switch be a mandatory retofit, when fitting an EV charger?
Opinions welcome!
