In 2016, When I stepped into my role as Head of HR at a first-generation IT & ITeS Commercial RealEstateDeveloper in #Hyderabad, I knew we were on the verge of explosive growth.
The challenge?
Ensuring we had the right talent in place to meet our ambitious project pipeline.
My first step was to dive deep into understanding our organizational depth and competency. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴? 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸? These questions guided my strategy.
With projects looming on the horizon, I leveraged my executivesearch experience to map out our resourcing needs. But I didn't stop there.
I extended an invitation to prominent recruitment agencies in the area to provide their perspectives on the talent and applicant markets in Hyderabad and Bangalore.
I was able to determine precisely how many on-roll and off-roll employees we would need to accomplish our project deadlines thanks to this datadriven strategy.
The next challenge was what about our team's long-term professional development?
I made sure to carve out clear career paths for our on-roll staff post-project delivery.
The result?
We grew from 70 full-time employees to 350 on-roll and 1500 off-roll employees.
But numbers only tell part of the story. The real success lies in the robust, skilled workforce we've built to drive our company forward.
