If you want to be at the leading edge of technology or storytelling, you need to go beyond the checklist and the freebies. Look at what signals you’re sending, what the overall organization is trying to achieve, and ask if you’re helping people take risks. Why do our customers believe in us? - 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁? Beyond today’s assumption, what’re the most unique experiences and stories our customers want. Teams that innovate are supported by leaders that get rid of obstacles and don’t mind taking failure on the nose: - 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵. There’s no end to organizational hurdles. The processes that keep the business ‘safe’ prevent it from innovating. Clear the way for your innovations, or good ideas will die in bureaucracy. - 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲 & 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗻. Only 10% of VC funded start-ups are “successful”, if you’re not happy with those odds, go home. Acknowledge that failing is ok and try the next thing. When the organization is making way to accommodate “New” - that’s when you know you’ve become cultural leaders, not just followers. #innovation #productmanagement Jonny Wood Tim Davies Paul Welsford

Is "No" the New Yes for Disruption? Feeling overwhelmed? Being a leader doesn't mean saying "yes" to everything. Thoreau, the original "remote worker," from Walden Pond, offers a surprisingly relevant solution for fostering innovation: the power of saying "no." Master the art of saying 'no' to protect your focus and avoid tasks that don't align with your goals. Here's why saying "no" matters: -Sharpens your focus: Protect your time for disruptive thinking and strategic initiatives. -Prioritizes what's important: Align your actions with your team's goals. -Empowers others: Saying "no" allows others to step up and take ownership. Say no to: -Tasks that don't align with your goals. -Meetings that lack a clear purpose. -Information overload that hinders creativity. This frees up mental space for true disruptive thinking, allowing you and your team to explore innovative ideas and solutions. Ready to unlock the power of "no" and embrace disruption? 🌟 **LinkedIn Post:** In the fast-paced world of business, one thing remains constant: change. As industry landscapes evolve and technology advances, businesses must adapt to stay competitive. Staying ahead of the curve requires not just embracing change, but driving it. Here are some reflections on the importance of innovation in today's business world: - Innovation is not just about creating something new; it's about challenging the status quo and pushing boundaries. - In a world where the only constant is change, businesses that fail to innovate risk falling behind. - Embracing innovation requires a culture that values creativity, welcomes new ideas, and fosters a mindset of continuous improvement. - Some of the most successful companies today are those that have made innovation a core part of their DNA, constantly seeking ways to disrupt and improve. - Innovation is not limited to product development; it can encompass processes, business models, and customer experiences. - Businesses that prioritize innovation are better equipped to navigate uncertainty, adapt to market shifts, and seize new opportunities. - To foster a culture of innovation, leaders must encourage risk-taking, celebrate failure as a learning opportunity, and empower employees to think outside the box. - The future belongs to those who are willing to innovate, experiment, and iterate. Are you ready to embrace the challenge? Remember, in the game of business, those who innovate lead the way. Stay curious, stay bold, and never stop pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Where will innovation take you next? #Innovation #BusinessGrowth #ChangeIsGood #Leadership #FutureofBusiness #StayAhead #EmbraceInnovation

💥 Not all disruptors are created equal. We often celebrate disruption, thinking it signals innovation. But over the years, I've realized it can cut both ways—either paving the way for progress or unintentionally holding others back. Years ago, as a first-time manager working in recruitment, this lesson hit home for me. I’ve always loved experimenting with new technology, trying out every tool that promised to improve productivity. If it wasn’t useful or frictionless for me, I’d move on quickly. But my enthusiasm became a burden for my team—they tried to adopt every tool I introduced, thinking it was essential. The problem? I’d already abandoned half of those tools by the time they were starting to struggle with them. What I thought was innovation was really disruption, slowing them down instead of helping them thrive. Looking back, I realized I might have liked the appearance of being innovative more than the actual impact. 🤔 ✨ It made me rethink: Is every disruption truly meaningful, or do we sometimes create chaos in the name of innovation? I’m curious—have you ever worked with someone who disrupted for the sake of it? Or maybe you’ve done it yourself (like me)? Let’s share those stories and what we’ve learned from them in the comments! 👇 #Leadership #Disruption #LessonsInManagement #IntentionalInnovation #Teamwork #CommunityThinking

💥 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐛𝐮𝐳𝐳𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝, 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲. 💥 ❌ In today’s competitive landscape, if your corporate strategy isn’t fostering innovation, you’re already falling behind. Innovation is what separates industry leaders from those who are stuck in the past. But how do you cultivate it within your corporate strategy? Here’s what I’ve learned from MedTech and beyond: 🔲 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐲: Companies that embrace new ideas, even if they disrupt their current model, are the ones that stay ahead. Whether it’s MedTech or any other industry, don’t be afraid to question “business as usual.” 🔲 𝐅𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: True innovation doesn’t happen in silos. Encourage cross-departmental collaboration and ensure your teams have the freedom to share ideas without hierarchy getting in the way. 🔲 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲: Whether it's AI, automation, or data analytics, technology is a key driver of innovation. In MedTech, we’ve seen how the right technology can revolutionize patient care—why not apply the same mindset across industries? 🔲 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭: Big corporations often suffer from a fear of risk. But it’s the calculated risks, the willingness to pivot, that drive true growth. Taking a page from the startup playbook can make all the difference. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Are you ready to shift your corporate mindset and foster real, meaningful innovation? Let’s talk about how you can apply these lessons to your strategy!👇 #Innovation #CorporateStrategy #MedTech #Leadership #BusinessGrowth #Collaboration
