It is with great pleasure to announce that I have successfully completed Boston Consulting Group (BCG)'s BCG X Data Science Job Simulation/Virtual Internship program on Forage, this opportunity allowed me to learn and enhance my existing skills and apply them onto a real life scenario and to get a better understanding of what kind of work/projects can we expect as students when we eventually step foot in the actual industry. In this project we are given a scenario where we have a client company PowerCo. who are seeking consultancy from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) regarding their churning of clients, so in this project we study the company data, we perform a basic Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), add features and proceed to train a model to help predict the company future. It was a great experience working on this project and I'd like to thank Forage for this opportunity. Following are the tasks which were carried out by me while working on this project: * Completed a customer churn analysis simulation for XYZ Analytics, demonstrating advanced data analytics skills, identifying essential client data and outlining a strategic investigation approach. * Conducted efficient data analysis using Python, including Pandas and NumPy. Employed data visualization techniques for insightful trend interpretation. * Completed the engineering and optimization of a random forest model, achieving an 85% accuracy rate in predicting customer churn. * Completed a concise executive summary for the Associate Director, delivering actionable insights for informed decision-making based on the analysis.
