Over the past decade and a half, we’ve not only helped thousands of people across the country to learn, inspire and thrive, but we’ve also learned a lot ourselves. In our article we share 15 things we’ve learned from 15 years of delivering professional development and training courses that give people the skills to succeed. From starting The Hub Events with a humble mission, we wanted to help delegates do better at work - and feel better about work. Over the past 15 years, we’ve delivered hundreds of thousands of hours of training helping people across the country through both our relationships with the businesses we support, and direct feedback from our delegates. We see time and time again how our training courses help solve real-life problems, boost thousands of people’s confidence, and progress their careers. “That chemistry you can just feel in the room, that people are having ‘penny-dropping’ moments and they suddenly see something that they hadn't seen before. It might be about themselves, it might be other people or it might be about what happens in their workplace. When those moments happen, you can just see that the world has become more straightforward for them, and they suddenly see a path to get them where they need to be.” Shona Ward, Hub Events Trainer Find out more in our article here: https://ow.ly/WVWv50TyG3h

THIS is the face of a really excited Annie because we've just launched the Mentor Mums KIT day course 🎉 We know many of you need to support just 1 returner back to work at a time - that's why we're encouraging you to send them to us for a full day training course as a KIT day or as one of their first days back to work. This will help them ramp up and get the support they need to return feeling confident but also seen and heard through a time fraught with anxiety, juggling, nursery sickness bugs and the rest! It costs £399 and it's the perfect gift from an employer to their returner. We've partnered with the incredible Hilton Hotels & Resorts Conrad London St James so delegates will have a delightful day with lunch, snacks AND the chance to tackle the big stuff like: -impostor syndrome -low confidence -the juggle -time management -rebuilding work relationships AND MORE! You've told us you need these - and the in-house KIT day courses we've run before have received fantastic feedback. Now we've made them happen we need your help - to spread the word to the HR contacts/ decision makes so we can book the places and ensure they happen regularly. I am really enjoying the process of inviting others to our Art of Hosting Victoria 2024 training in May. I find reconnecting with colleagues from different times and places nourishing. Cold calling new contacts who I know share purpose or are in place where the training is being held takes some courage for me. Sharing information about the training and trying different ways of putting in words something that is deeply experiential feels like a constant practice. I'm a big fan of this work (obviously) and I know that it will not be for everyone. My practice of invitation is about trying to be clear and authentic in what this training is and explore possibility with others as to what participation in a training like this might yield. My bias says that everyone doing anything that they call human or community centred would benefit/enjoy/learn from time spent in Art of Hosting learning and practice. https://lnkd.in/gJSsnut2

October is #SafeWorkMonth Not only today, or this month, but everyday Directions works with our host companies to build healthy and safe workplaces for our apprentices and others. By working together we can prioritise work health and safety and do what we can to reduce the number of work-related injuries, illnesses and fatalities. * Let's proactively manage risks and hazards. Don't wait for something to go wrong. * Let's talk; encourage everyone to speak up, share experiences and collaborate on solutions. * Let's make sure everyone doing the task knows the correct, safe method, and has the right tools for the job. * Let's not get complacent. #safetyfirstsafetyalways #safetyisourbusiness
