I just presented our Q1 numbers together with our CFO, Tone H. Bachke! I’m proud to say that we had another strong quarter, and we are committed to providing the safest solutions in the market. We understand the importance of safety to our customers, and we will continue to prioritise it.    In the first quarter, we had:   ✅ Service revenues in the first quarter ended at NOK 15.8 billion, corresponding to an organic increase of 5.6 per cent compared to the same period last year.    ✅ EBITDA ended at NOK 8.5 billion, corresponding to organic growth of 6.9 per cent.   ✅ Free cash flow amounted to NOK 3.3 billion before M&A.   ✅ Telenor Nordics and Telenor Asia delivered five and six per cent growth in service revenues, respectively, in the first quarter of the year, while organic EBITDA growth ended at eight and five per cent.    📸 Photo is taken from Ny-Ålesund, the world's northernmost base station. I've written an article looking at the impact of Digi Belgium's upcoming market entrance as Belgium's fourth MNO. As newcomer Digi Belgium prepares to launch its low-cost mobile services, existing operators will be looking to leverage their FMC offering to defend revenue in an increasingly competitive mobile market. TM today announced its FY2023 results, reporting higher revenue and profitability compared to the previous year. We registered a higher revenue of RM12.26 billion propelled by the strong performance of Unifi and TM Global. Meanwhile, our PATAMI rose 63.6% from RM1.14 billion to RM1.87 billion. This performance reaffirms our resilience in the competitive market landscape. In 2023, Jazz made a significant investment of Rs37 billion to bolster Pakistan's increasing data demand and enhance the digital ecosystem, particularly focusing on fintech, cloud services, and data analytics. This brought the company's total investment to $10.6 billion. Despite witnessing a remarkable 20% year-on-year growth in revenues in local currency, Jazz experienced a 12.9% decline in revenue in dollar terms during the fiscal year 2023, mainly due to the devaluation of the rupee. The company's margins were impacted by a notable surge in business costs, attributed to record-high interest rates and a substantial increase in network energy costs. During 2023, a significant portion of Jazz's capital expenditure was allocated towards the addition of approximately 1,000 new 4G sites. This expansion of the network played a pivotal role in boosting Jazz's 4G customer base to 43.9 million, while the overall subscriber base reached 70.6 million by December 2023. In another development, JazzFi, which enables customers to communicate over Wi-Fi when cellular coverage is limited or unavailable, attracted over 3 million users within a few months of its launch. #Jazz #Digital #Ecosystem #Pakistan
