"Women deserve to know what they’re putting in their bodies and why and when I looked at the supplement industry, I realized the industry was asking consumers to do their own work: Is this safe? Is this effective? Does this work?" Katerina Markov Schneider sums up Ritual's work in her interview with Kara Goldin, we highly recommend giving this episode a listen! https://lnkd.in/gScgZFgT

Do you overlook your achievements? Recently I've been working on daily improvements, aiming to get > meditation > movement > social media free time in All before the work day. This morning was busy (and a little flustered). Daughter to the bus at 6:30, a 5km dog walk, shopping and back home to get the work day started. It felt hurried and task-driven. However on reflection, I had achieved: > An hour of exercise > Time in nature > No social media > Quiet time - no podcast, music or noise on the walk, just the sounds of nature. Sometimes in our haste, we miss our achievements. We focus on the wrong things (tasks that need doing), rather than the wins. How can you turn your perspective around? You may have achieved more than you think! Female Founders Rise ---------------------- 💬 How can you change your perspective? PS: Follow me Sara Roberts for insights into health, wellbeing and entrepreneurship led by impact, as much as profitability

What's ahead for you in 2025? I don't know about you, but I love this time of year. I love celebrating the holidays, and settling in to dream big and be really intentional about my goals for the next year - in health, in business, in life. While roughly 7 in 10 Americans may think about goals for the new year, only about 1/3 of them will think about an action plan to achieve those goals. Of that 1/3, only about 10% will write these goals down and consistently work towards habits that align with those goals. If you do the math..no wonder so many feel frustrated and scattered! I firmly believe that your health and well-being impact your ability to concretely work towards goals in life and business. Part of longevity medicine isn't just about living longer, or even living better - it's about elevating the function of your body and brain to bring more ease to your day to day life. It doesn't *have* to feel so hard! For me, health feeds into all other aspects of my life. The better I feel, the better I show up, and the easier it is to do so. How about you? Are you a goal-setter? Do you pick a "word" of intention for the new year? Or do you find you struggle with following through on your goals every year (health and fitness, particularly!) I'd love to hear from you! ⬇️ ----- 👋🏼 I'm Dr. Laura DeCesaris, Functional Medicine Strategist and Women's Health expert, and co-host of The Femme Factor Podcast. ➡️ I've helped hundreds of professional women just like you take back control of their health, amplify their productivity and impact, and create more space for joy, vibrancy, and wellness in their lives. What is one thing you've learned as a woman-owned business? The only thing stopping you from starting the journey is yourself, taking risks and listening to your gut will help. What is one tip you'd give to a woman looking to start her business today? Not everything will be perfect at the beginning but focus of starting small and then work on improving it as you go. How do you support other women-owned businesses? I encourage all of my women entrepreneurs by having accountability calls and inviting them to join me at different virtual events. You have find your support/mastermind group, because entrepreneurship can feel lonely. Even if they aren’t doing the same things as me, we can still proof read each others work and cheer for each other.

Let's talk about the cost of beauty. On average, women spend $3,756 annually on beauty products, treatments, and services – a figure expected to rise by 11.6% this year. The pressure to defy aging adds hundreds more onto that figure each year. Industries capitalize on body dissatisfaction and appearance-based insecurities, raking in a staggering $353 billion in 2019 alone. But here's where it gets personal. As a confidence coach, I work with clients ranging from director-level professionals to C-suite executives, and savvy successful entrepreneurs. Before our work together, they were spending anywhere from $500 to $1,000 on average per month on beauty services alone. That's a significant chunk of change – $6,000 to $12,000 annually – dedicated to filling insecurities or buffering against societal pressures. Beyond the financial impact, consider the time investment. On average, my clients were spending between 30 minutes to an hour and a half each day on their appearance. That adds up to a staggering 182 to 547 hours per year – equivalent to dedicating 6% of their entire year to getting ready! I am breaking down these stats even further in my latest podcast episode that just dropped inside the Confidence Lounge. To learn more about ending the pattern of spending fueled my societal pressure & insecurity, tune in here: https://lnkd.in/g2EMYBT3 The last 22 minutes of this episode are dedicated to this topic. PS: Solving for spending to fill a void is something we work on together inside the CAN Program. We dive deep into your spending dynamics, unpacking how societal conditioning and industry pressures influence our perceptions of self-worth & confidence levels. To disconnect emotion from spending, take control over how you feel about yourself and get so much time + money back for yourself, join me inside the CAN Program.
