When global crises or natural disasters strike, nonprofits are often caught off guard by the influx of support. What’s more, the passionate rage givers rarely stick around to support long-term. The good news is that people want to give! That means nonprofits need to create more opportunities for giving to continue after the passion simmers down. 🤝 Learn 5 tips to transform rage into hope, and retain long-term donors ➡️ https://brnw.ch/21wNxAM

Donor retention is a challenge for most organizations no matter the mission. Imagine what it is like for those organizations impacted by rage giving--the sudden boom and immediate focus on addressing critical need to the burst just when organizations become better able (experience, strategy, and resources) to deepen and expand impact. Here are a few of my ideas on how to convert rage donors into hope donors for longer term retention. It is possible--generosity is still alive and kicking!

We walk so others don’t have to 🚰🌍A community can be many things: your local community, your school community, your work community. On a Saturday in October at our GRUNDFOS US headquarters, my colleagues, friends, and families came together to look beyond our immediate circles to the broader community 🌍 We thought of the communities that struggle with access to clean water, the communities that have to walk 1.5 miles or 2.5 km every day to get clean water. Two billion people in the world are part of that community, the community that does not have access to clean water. It takes all of us to support the Water Mission, and every action counts. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to my colleagues, friends, families, and our partners—the Houston Astros and Water Mission —who showed up to take action. Together, we are making a difference. Image Text: UJDP and CBPR What is the relationship between UJDP and CBPR? Until Justice Data Partners was founded because of the need for accessible information to the people who live within a community. Where other organizations and governments often come in to a community to tell them what is best, they then dismiss the expertise of the people who belong to the community itself. Scientific data and expertise isn't all about numbers. Data also includes personal experiences from the people who live with the reality of pollution and environmental disasters every day. Our goal at UJDP is to help elevate the voices of the people who matter - the people who know these communities inside and out - and to help them speak for themselves. Nobody knows what a community needs more than their own residents. To help us continue this mission, please consider becoming a recurring donor. Every dollar raised goes to ensure that community safety is a priority.
