Master in FL Studio with only stock plug-ins. First I use a Multi-Band Compressor to equalize more or less the impact of each low, mid and high frequencies and lower the main out to -6db or less Second, I use my first Patcher with EQ to remove all frequencies below 23hz to avoid mud. Then, the EQ goes into a Soft Clipper to apply a gentle compressor. This finally goes into the Limiter to control saturation. I lower the ceiling to a bit below the peaks and adjust the saturation knob in that zone After, I use a second Patcher with the Mid-Side EQ preset in order to put all frequencies below 150hz to be played in mono After the second Patcher, I simply use another EQ to adjust a bit the details I find that need a small tweak on the overall track After I use a Limiter in compression mode to glue and compress the overall result and avoid undesired peaks on the track Last, the Maximus which is a very important final tool. As you can see, I turn the compression for each frequency off, I use it to control the stereo/mono of each one. I put the lows in complete mono and as for mids and highs I adjust the stereo manually until I like the result (you need to solo the track). Then for the master, I adjust the threshold to -0% (the zone needs to be highlighted in red), ceiling at -0.1db and pump the Post all the way up until it peaks at 0db so you have a nice clean and loud track... #tipsandtricks #CC

What is the main difference between useEffect and useLayoutEffect? 👍 useEffect runs after the browser has painted, useLayoutEffect before. 👏 useLayoutEffect is only for measuring layout, useEffect for other side effects. ❤️ useEffect is asynchronous, useLayoutEffect is synchronous. 💡 useEffect is for server-side rendering, useLayoutEffect is not. #ReactEffects #HookDifferences

📽 Prototype daily video #10 of a turn-based decision-making simulator, set on a grid (50 seconds). Time for another designer tool: A colour picker for the grid movement tokens. This is a UE5 Editor Utility Widget that allows a designer to demo different colours of tiles in the game while it's running. The different colours are achieved by assigning the tile to a layer of the custom depth stencil buffer, which runs from 0-255. When the custom depth stencil buffer is turned on, that part of the screen is effectively rendered transparent, exposing a colour behind it. The closest colour match between the colour chosen and the transparent layers of the stencil buffer is found by converting the colour into a hue, which also conveniently use a 0-255 scale. The glow effect is achieved with a post process volume which contains a bloom effect, and the post process material has an emissive factor variable that can be increased or decreased to make it more or less pronounced. There are 4 separate colours that can be set: 1: Mouseover. 2: Single click. 3: Double click. 4: Pathfinding illumination.
