We had an amazing time at our annual Employee-Family BBQ and Roadeo event! 🌟 It was wonderful to see our work family and their loved ones come together for a day of fun, competition and connection. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event so special. 💙 Also, a big congratulations to all the Roadeo winners! 🏆
After a long and busy year, your team deserves a celebration! 🎉 A New Year’s party is the perfect way to recognize achievements, boost morale, strengthen team bonds, and set a positive tone for the year ahead. Here are 5 reasons your company needs a New Year party to kick off the new year right!
Take a moment…
In hustle and bustle of planning events, it’s easy to get caught up in the rush and forget to take a step back. Recently, after wrapping up a big event, I made it a point to pause and appreciate all the hard work that went into it.
We all know the grind. Endless emails, and the last-minute changes that can throw everything off. But it’s important to recognize the effort and teamwork that make these events successful.
Taking a moment to reflect isn’t just about celebrating wins. It’s also about recognizing the challenges we faced and the lessons learned along the way. Those moments of stress often lead to growth and better strategies for the future.
So, let’s remember to celebrate not just the outcomes but the journey we take to get there. A little appreciation can go a long way in keeping our spirits high and our motivation strong.
Here’s to all the hard work we put in Lizo Sphiwe ZuluMabonwa Mfundo Vitshima. Let’s keep supporting each other!
How to condense Notino life into a few facts? 🤔
It's hard, but we'll try.
◾️ If you don't want to wait for the elevator in the morning or you're not talkative in the morning, avoid arriving at 7:50. That's just about the most common time #NotinoPeople come into the offices. ⛅️
◾️ To be ready for all the work challenges and chatty colleagues, we need a proper caffeine dope. Luckily for our colleagues, our coffee is free and together we drink 140 packets of coffee a week! ☕️
◾️ If by chance you're not sure of the name of a colleague from another team, it's very likely to be Tomáš or Jana. These are the most common names of our Notino People. 👫
◾️ We need #reinforcements before the season, so that's also why October is the month when most new colleagues #JoinUs. 🤝
And October isn't that far away and we have plenty of positions open, so check out 👉 https://notino.jobs.cz/ 👈 to make sure you can join us and experience a proper Notino ride towards the end of the year! 🚀

🎉 Christmas parties are a great way to thank your team for their hard work.
When organising your festive gathering, consider:
✅ Choosing a venue and theme that suits all employees.
✅ Offering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
✅ Including activities that encourage team bonding.
✅ Making attendance optional to avoid pressuring anyone.
A well-planned party is more than just a fun night – it is an opportunity to strengthen team relationships and show your appreciation.

Hello friends, scientists and communicators! Here is a little #mondaymotivation for you all. At CSIRO Publishing I run so many workshops and very frequently hear participants say "my English isn't good enough for academic writing" or "I'm not confident with my English."
I have a confession: Despite teaching writing for a living, good spelling and grammar don't come easily to me and I've had to put in the practice. In fact the post I'm sharing comes from someone who was extremely patient with my early academic writing efforts and personally inspires me.
Dr Michael Seery shares a mural from their workplace at the Centre for Academic Language and Develop at the University of Bristol: "Academic Language is no one's mother tongue". I would like to add that no one is born a good writer - there are just people that have had more practice at it!
I hope this inspires you today to put aside your worries about being a "good writer", sit down and write for 15 minutes and practice writing some words on a page. Come back and edit them later.

🌟 Why Team Building Matters 🌟
In today’s fast-paced work environment, successful companies understand that growth is built on strong teams. That's why investing in team-building activities is more important than ever! Here are a few reasons why team-building initiatives can make a difference:
🔹 Enhanced Collaboration
Team-building exercises break down silos, encouraging people from different departments to connect and work together. This helps bridge gaps, creates open communication channels, and fosters a collaborative culture.
🔹 Boosted Morale and Engagement
Happy teams are productive teams! Engaging in fun, non-work-related activities can refresh and re-energize employees, making them feel valued and motivated. This often leads to improved job satisfaction and higher retention rates.
🔹 Increased Trust and Empathy
Through challenges and activities, colleagues can understand each other's strengths, weaknesses, and working styles. Building trust within teams is key to creating a positive work environment where people feel comfortable expressing ideas and giving feedback.
🔹 Better Problem-Solving Skills
Team-building often includes activities that require creative problem-solving, pushing employees to think outside the box. This can lead to enhanced critical thinking skills that benefit projects and client solutions down the line.
When a company invests in its people, it shows! Team-building isn’t just a “nice-to-have”—it's a strategic advantage. 🌐
