What do Marinade stakers get that other SOL stakers don't? Extra SOL rewards, leading to higher APR, thanks to the stake auction marketplace (SAM). With the SAM, validators can use part of their SOL income (via MEV and tx fees) to bid on staked SOL. Validators are incentivized to hold larger stakes, which ultimately incentivizes paying stakers more SOL. The SAM is just one of 3 major implementations from the recent Marinade v2 upgrade.
